Ƙaddamar da Ƙirƙirar Kwamfuta na Climate Savers ƙungiya ce mai zaman kanta ta masu amfani, kasuwanci da ƙungiyoyin kiyayewa waɗanda aka sadaukar don haɓaka fasahar fasaha waɗanda ke inganta ƙarfin wutar lantarki da rage yawan kuzarin kwamfutoci. A shekara ta 2010, shirin ya nemi rage yawan makamashin da kwamfutoci ke amfani da su da kashi 50 cikin 100 da kuma rage fitar da iskar CO2 da ake fitarwa a duniya daga ayyukan kwamfutoci da tan miliyan 54 a shekara.[2]
Manufar

Kwamfutar kwamfutar tafi-da-gidanka na yau da kullun yana ɓarna fiye da rabin ikon da yake samu daga wurin wutar lantarki.[3] Sabar yawanci suna bata kashi 30-40% na ikon da suke cinyewa. Wannan makamashi yana batawa azaman zafi. Sakamakon haka, ofisoshi, gidaje, da cibiyoyin bayanai sun ƙara buƙatu akan na'urar sanyaya iska wanda hakan ke ƙara buƙatun makamashi da haɗin kai.

Mahalarta shirin Kwamfuta na Kwamfuta na Climate Savers sun wakilci duka buƙatu da samar da masana'antar kwamfuta, gami da masana'antun kwamfuta da masu yin guntu, da kuma ƙungiyoyin muhalli, kamfanonin makamashi, dillalai, hukumomin gwamnati da ƙari. Magoya bayan shirin sun hada da Intel Corporation, Google, Dell, EDS, Hukumar Kare Muhalli ta Amurka (EPA), Hewlett-Packard, Lenovo, Microsoft, Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E), Asusun namun daji na Duniya da sauransu.

Daga Yuli 2007 zuwa Yuni 2008, PCs dole ne sun cika buƙatun Energy Star. Daga Yuli 2009 zuwa Yuni 2010, ma'auni ya ƙaru zuwa kashi 88 cikin 100 mafi ƙarancin inganci ga PSU a kashi 50 cikin 100 na fitarwa (da kashi 85 mafi ƙarancin inganci a kashi 20 cikin 100 da kashi 100 na ƙididdiga). Daidai da matakin Azurfa 80 Plus.
Daga Yuli 2010 zuwa Yuni 2011, ma'auni ya ƙaru zuwa kashi 90 mafi ƙarancin inganci na PSU a kashi 50 cikin 100 na fitarwa (da kashi 87 mafi ƙarancin inganci a kashi 20 cikin 100 da kashi 100 na ƙididdiga). Daidai da 80 Plus Zinare matakin.[4]
