[gyara sashe | gyara masomin]Bayan kammala karatunsa daga Jami'ar Aikin Gona da Fasaha ta Tokyo a cikin karatun digiri a cikin ilmin sunadarai, Hamashima ya shiga kamfanin taya na Japan, Bridgestone, a shekarar 1977.
Ya ci gaba da aiki a kan ci gaban tayoyi don wasanni na mota tun 1981. Ya yi aiki a cikin nau'ikan tsere da yawa, kamar su Formula Two, DTM, Indianapolis 500, Formula One da MotoGP. Lokacin da kamfanin ya fara samar da taya ga Formula One a cikin 1997, Hamashima ya taka muhimmiyar rawa wajen bunkasa taya ta tsere.
A lokacin zamanin Formula One, sau da yawa ya bayyana a shirin F1 na Fuji TV har ma a karshen mako na Grands Prix kuma ya yi sharhi a matsayin injiniyan taya, game da jituwa da da'irar da taya, da sauran batutuwa masu alaƙa. Don haka, ya zama sananne a tsakanin magoya bayan Formula One a Japan.
Scuderia Ferrari
[gyara sashe | gyara masomin]A ranar 11 ga watan Janairun shekara ta 2012, Scuderia Ferrari ta ba da sanarwar cewa Hamashima ya koma tawagar kuma ya taka rawa a sashen fasaha don inganta hulɗar motar Ferrari da tayoyinta. Hamashima ya bar Ferrari a ƙarshen shekara ta 2014.
Ƙoƙarin da aka yi daga baya
[gyara sashe | gyara masomin]A ranar 5 ga Maris 2015, MediaDo Kageyama Racing (mallaka da Masahiko Kageyama, wanda ya gama a matsayi na 3 a 1998 24 Hours of Le Mans tare da Kazuyoshi Hoshino da Aguri Suzuki) ya sanar da cewa Hamashima ya zama mai ba da shawara na musamman ga tawagar.
A watan Janairun 2016, ya shiga CERUMO yana shiga cikin Super Formula da Super GT, kuma ya zama shugaban kungiyar.
