Ilimi na bincike
ilimi na bincike (wani lokacin ana kiransa Hanyar bincike) hanya ce ta ilimi ta ɗalibai da ke mai da hankali kan yin Tambayoyi. Ana ƙarfafa ɗalibai su tambayi tambayoyin da ke da ma'ana a gare su, kuma waɗanda ba lallai ba ne su sami amsoshi masu sauƙi; ana ƙarfafa malamai su guji ba da amsoshi lokacin da hakan zai yiwu, kuma a kowane hali don guje wa ba da amtan kai tsaye don neman ƙarin tambayoyi. Ta wannan hanyar yayi kama da Hanyar Socratic a wasu fannoni. Neil Postman da Charles Weingartner ne suka ba da shawarar wannan hanyar a cikin littafin su Teaching as a Subversive Activity .
