Markus 5 shine babi na biyar na Linjilar Markus a Sabon Alkawari na Littafi Mai-Tsarki na Kirista. An ɗauke shi tare da kwantar da hankali na teku a cikin Markus 4:35-41, akwai "Ayyuka ban mamaki guda huɗu [waɗanda] ke bin juna ba tare da hutu ba": fitar da aljanu, warkarwa, da tayar da 'yar Jairus.[1]

Yesu da almajiran suna tafiya a fadin Tekun Galili ta jirgin ruwa zuwa ƙasar da ba ta Yahudawa ba ta Gerasenes (wasu rubuce-rubuce suna da "Gadarenes", wasu "Gergesenes" [2] ), yankin yanzu a Jordan ta zamani.[3] Tom Wright ya lura cewa "me ya sa Yesu ya tafi wannan yanki ba za mu taba sani ba", kodayake Johann Bengel ya ƙaddara cewa Yahudawa da yawa sun zauna a can. [4]

Mutumin ya faɗi a ƙafafun Yesu kuma ya roƙi Yesu kada ya cutar da shi. Yesu ya tambaye shi menene sunansa kuma ya amsa "Sunan na Legion ne, ... domin mu da yawa". Legion na iya zama nuni ga Sojoji Romawa. Sun ga wasu aladu da ke kusa kuma aljanu sun tambayi idan za a iya sanya su a cikin aladu, wanda Yesu ya yarda. Aladu, kimanin 2000 daga cikinsu (kawai asusun Mark ya kiyasta lambobin), sannan suka shiga cikin tafkin kuma sun nitse.

Mutanen da ke kula da aladu sun gudu zuwa gari suna gaya wa kowa abin da ya faru, kuma wasu mutanen garin sun zo su ga kansu. Masanin tauhidin Furotesta Heinrich Meyer ya ba da shawarar cewa "ya kamata ya zauna a asalinsa a matsayin shaida da kuma mai sanar da ceto mai ban mamaki, wanda ya samu daga Allah ta hanyar Yesu, kuma ta wannan hanyar don yin hidimar aikin Kristi".[5]

Masanin Littafi Mai-Tsarki na Anglican Christopher Tuckett ya yi jayayya cewa "ƙididdiga da yawa da rashin daidaituwa a cikin labarin yanzu sun nuna cewa Markus na iya haɗuwa da al'adu fiye da ɗaya a nan cikin labarin ɗaya":

  • aya ta 2 ta sa mutumin "nan da nan" ya sadu da shi yayin da Yesu ya fito daga cikin jirgin, yayin da aya ta 6 ta ce "lokacin da ya ga Yesu daga nesa, ya gudu ya bauta masa"
  • aya ta 8 ta katse tattaunawa wacce in ba haka ba ta bayyana tana gudana daga aya ta 7 zuwa aya ta 9
  • aya ta 15 tana da ban mamaki bayan aya ta 14, tunda ƙarshen yana nuna lokaci mai yawa.

Wannan labarin kuma ya faru a cikin Matiyu 8:28-34, inda akwai mutane biyu da ke da aljanu, kuma a cikin Luka 8:26-39. Amfani da kalmar "Gadarenes" a wasu rubuce-rubuce na iya zama ƙoƙari na daidaita Markus da Matiyu 8:28.[6]

A wancan gefen tafkin Yesu ya sadu da wani mutum mai suna Jairus, mai mulki na Majami'a (mai arziki mai kula da gidan ibada na yankin), wanda ya roƙi Yesu ya warkar da 'yarsa mai shekaru goma sha biyu. Yesu ya ɗauki Bitrus, Yakubu, da Yahaya kawai. Wannan labarin bai faru a cikin Linjilar Yahaya ba. A kan hanyar zuwa can, wata mace da ke fama da " zubar da jini", watakila menorrhagia ko zubar da ciki daga Fibroids. Yesu ya tabbatar wa kowa cewa ba ta mutu ba, kawai tana barci, ta shiga ciki ta ce wa Talitha kum, tana gaya mata ta tashi, kuma ta yi. Ba kamar shawararsa game da mutumin da ke dauke da aljanu ba, ya gaya musu kada su gaya wa mutane game da waɗannan abubuwan.

Wannan labarin ya bayyana a littafin Matiyu 9:18-26 da Luka 8:40-56. Luka ya ci gaba da labarun mutumin da ke da aljanu da mata biyu tare, amma Matiyu ya saka labarin mutumin da ya gurgunta, kiran Matiyu, da kuma misalin ruwan inabi da aka samu a cikin Markus 2 tsakanin waɗannan labarun biyu.
