Oboro ita ce mafi girma a cikin dangi hudu a cikin karamar hukumar Ikwuano ta jihar Abia, Najeriya.[1][2][3] Ya yi iyaka da arewa da kabilar Ibeku da Bende, yamma ta Olokoro da Ngwa, gabas da Ibere da kudu da Isuogu (Ariam/Usaka da Oloko). An rarraba Oboro a cikin gungu na Ohuhu-Ngwa na yankin Kudancin Igbo ta hanyar masana ɗan adam ɗan Burtaniya Forde da Jones. Haka kuma yana daya daga cikin ’yan kabilar Igbo 18 da ke yankin Old Bende da ke rusasshiyar lardin Owerri. Oboro suna magana da yare gama gari tare da sauran dangi 17 na Bende Division kodayake akwai bambancin yare. Waɗannan dangi suna da tarihin dangantakar ƙabilun.[4]

Mazaunan farko a Oboro sun fito ne daga yankunan Bende, Ngwa da Ukwa. Sun yi galaba a kan ’yan asalin Ibibio a Mbiopong (wanda ake kira Isiala a yanzu) kuma suka fara zama a Ahiafor daga baya kuma suka gangara zuwa Ahuwa inda suka zauna. Wasu daga cikin Ibibios sun koma wurin danginsu a Nkari, yayin da wasu suka yi ritaya zuwa wani shinge mai nisan mil kudu maso yammacin Mbiopong. A yau, ana kiran wannan ƙauyen da sunan Obunta.

Kauyen Ekweri zuriyar Mbiopong ne kuma yanzu shine iyaka tsakanin Oboro da Ariam.[5]
