Tāmaki Māori su ne Māori iwi da hapū (kabilun da ƙananan kabilun) waɗanda ke da alaƙa mai ƙarfi da Tāmaki Makaurau (Yankin Auckland), [1] kuma wanda ke da al'ada a cikin yankin. Daga cikin Ngā Mana Whenua o Tāmaki Makaurau (ƙabilar Māori na Auckland), wanda aka fi sani da Tāmaki Collective, akwai iwi da hapū har gudagoma sha uku, an shirya su cikin uku (ƙungiyoyi), duk da haka Tāmaki Māori na iya komawa ga ƙananan ƙabilun da tarihin iwi da ba a haɗa su cikin wannan jerin ba.[2]

Ngāti Whātua Rōpū

Ngāti Whātua ya sauko daga Māhuhu-ki-te-rangi waka, wanda ya sauka a arewacin Kaipara Harbour . Fuskar ta hada da Ngāti Whātua ko Kaipara, Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei da Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Whōtua . [3]

Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Whātua kwamiti ne na Māori Trust wanda aka kafa a tsakiyar ƙarni 2000s don wakiltar bukatun Ngāti Whâtua iwi da hapū gaba ɗaya, gami da waɗanda ke waje da Ngāti Whōtua o Kaipara da Ngāti whātua Ōrākei . Runa yana wakiltar Ngā Oho, Ngāi Tāhuhu, Ngāti Hinga, Ngāti Mauku, Ngāti Rango, Ngāti Ruinga, NgATI Torehina, Ngāti Weka, Ngāti Whiti, Patuharakeke, Te Parawhau, Te Popoto, Te Roroa, Te Urioroi, Te Taoū, Te Uri Ngutu, Te Kuihi da Te Uri-o-Hau..[4][2]

Waiohua Tāmaki Rōpū

Ƙabilun Te Waiohua sun fito ne daga Te Wakatūwhenua da kuma Moekākara waka . [1] Sunan yana nufin kakannin Huakaiwaka, wanda a cikin 1600s ya shiga Ngā Oho, Ngā Riki da Ngā Iwi don kafa ƙungiya da ta mamaye yankin na ƙarni uku, har zuwa tsakiyar 1700.[1] Membobin wannan clovu sun hada da Te Ākitai Waiohua, Ngāi Tai ki Tāmaki, Te Kawerau ā Maki, Ngāti Tamaoho da Ngāti Te Ata . Marutūāhu Rōpū

Ƙungiyar Marutūāhu ta fito ne daga Tainui waka, kuma suna zaune ne a kusa da Tekun Hauraki. Iwi biyar sun fito ne daga 'ya'ya maza biyar na kakannin Marutūahu . Mambobin wannan clovu sune Ngāti Maru, Ngāti Pāoa, Ngāti Tamaterā, Ngāti Whanaunga da Te Patukirikiri.[3]

Baya ga membobin Tāmaki Collective, yawancin iwi suna da kasancewar Tāmaki Makaurau:

  • Ngāti Awa ki Tāmaki Makaurau, wanda ke zaune a Mātaatua Marae da Awanuiarangi Wharenui, a Māngere . [5]
  • Ngāti Manuhiri a Rodney, Hibiscus Coast da arewacin Hauraki Gulf.[6]
  • Ngātiwai a kan Aotea / Babban Tsibirin Barrier .
  • Waikato Tainui a Kudancin Auckland . Tainui suna da alaƙa ta tarihi ta farko zuwa Tāmaki Makaurau, kamar Tainui waka da ake jigilar ta a faɗin Te Tō Waka (Ōtāhuhu portage) tsakanin Kogin Tāmaki da Manukau Harbour, da kuma ma'aikatan waka da ke zaune a yankin.
