Trichocyte a cikin algae su ne sel waɗanda suke girma a wajen thallus, daga abin da gashi ke tsiro^[1]. A cikin algae, trichocytes suna girma musamman a lokacin rani; Girman su yana daidaitawa ta hanyar zafin ruwa da tsawon rana.^[2]^[3]^[4]
