The stewarding of the away end at this game left a lot to be desired, with one steward in particular making seriously inflammatory gestures towards the Albion supporters. In the end he had to be replaced and was led away by the chief steward to a resounding chorus of "Cheerio, cheerio, cheerio, cheerio, cheerio, cheerio..." from the Albion faithful. His replacement, a somewhat elderly gentleman, made a grand and steady entry down the stadium steps, taking a great deal of delight in slowly putting on a pair of enormous black gloves, as if there might be something hazardous and nasty lurking deep in the Albion crowd that he might have to deal with. Finally a message to the stewards in the foreground here, you're meant to be watching the crowd, mateys... World Cup, you're 'aving a larf.
