at a Wikipedia edit-a-thon event in 2024

My name is Abdurra'uf Usman. I am an ardent wikipedia editor of Hausa Wikimedia user group from Katsina state. Born and raised in katsina, I am a full Hausa young man although born to Yoruba parents.

I was introduced to the Wikimedia foundation in the month of June 2023, and since then I have been dedicated to the contribution and growth of the community.

Engagements

Since joining the Wikimedia foundation, I have been able to participate in numerous events which normally do take place on a monthly basis.

I participated in the wikidata contest(WPWW) in December 2023, and I ranked 3rd at the conclusion of the contest with a cash prize.

I was oportuned to have taken part in outreach programmes and excursions, the most recent ones were the Outreach programme to Hassan Usman polytechnic Katsina and the excursion Ajiwa water treatment plant amongst others.

I am also privileged to be amongst the newly selected team leads of the Hausa Wikimedia user group as a member of the logistics team.

As a team lead, I take it upon myself to check up on my team and track up their respective progresses and contributions to the Wikimeda foundation.
