Asusun samar da ababen more rayuwa wani asusu ne na sirri da aka bayar ko aka jera a bainar jama'a wanda ke saka hannun jari kai tsaye ko a kaikaice a cikin ababen more rayuwa da masana'antu masu alaƙa.[1] Misalai na saka hannun jari kai tsaye sun haɗa da siyan hannun jari da shaidu ta kasuwannin jama'a, ko kuɗin aikin.[1] Misalai na saka hannun jari na kai tsaye sun haɗa da saka hannun jari a cikin kuɗaɗen samar da ababen more rayuwa masu zaman kansu ko waɗanda aka riga aka ambata,[2] da kuɗin ababen more rayuwa da aka jera a bainar jama'a da fihirisa.[1] Ma'anar "kayan aiki" sun bambanta, amma galibi sun haɗa da tashoshin wutar lantarki, tsarin sarrafa ruwa da sharar gida, tsarin sufuri,[3] tsarin sadarwa, da bututun mai da iskar gas. Ma'anar na iya haɗawa da kiwon lafiya da wuraren ilimi.[3]

Wani bincike na shekarar 2021 ya gano cewa, a wani ɓangare saboda tsarin diyya da tsawon lokacin saka hannun jari na yau da kullun, kuɗaɗen ababen more rayuwa suna haifar da dawo da muni fiye da yadda masu saka hannun jari ke zato,[4][5] kuma suna fuskantar canji saboda yanayin tattalin arziki.[6] A cikin watan Fabrairu 2023, Bloomberg ta ruwaito cewa Preqin ya annabta cewa za a sadaukar da wasu dala tiriliyan 1.87 don saka hannun jarin ababen more rayuwa nan da shekara ta 2026.[7]
