Sir Donald Kingdon (rayuwa daga 24 Nuwamba 1883 - 17 Disamba 1961). Jami'in shari'a ne na Burtaniya wanda ya yi aiki a matsayin babban alkalin kotun kolin Najeriya daga shekarar1929 zuwa 1946.

Aiki
[gyara sashe | gyara masomin]Kingdon ya yi aiki da Ma’aikatar Mulki a Gambiya a matsayin Sufeto na Makarantu da Mataimakin Shari’a, sannan ya kasance memba a Majalisar Dokokin kasar. Ya kasance babban lauya na Uganda, kuma an nada shi a shekarar 1918 a matsayin babban mai shari'a na Gold Coast. Ya kasance Knight Bachelor.[1]
An nada Kingdon ne a matsayin shugaban hukumar da za ta binciki tashe-tashen hankulan da aka yi a yankunan Calabar da Owerri a 1929 da 1930 wanda ya yi sanadiyyar mutuwar mutane 55.[2] Rahoton na hukumar ya nuna cewa rashin isassun horon ‘yan sanda da kuma hana binciken laifukan da ba su dace ba ya taimaka wajen karya dokokin kasar.

Ya yi aiki a karkashin gwamnoni hudu na mulkin mallaka: Graeme Thomson, Donald Cameron, Bernard Bourdillon da Arthur Richards. Ya kuma yi aiki a matsayin Babban Lauyan Najeriya, daga 1919 zuwa 1925, kuma ya shirya tare da tsara litattafai masu yawa game da dokokin Afirka ta Yamma.[3]
