Sir Donald Kingdon (rayuwa daga 24 Nuwamba 1883 - 17 Disamba 1961). Jami'in shari'a ne na Burtaniya wanda ya yi aiki a matsayin babban alkalin kotun kolin Najeriya daga shekarar1929 zuwa 1946.

Kingdon ya yi karatu a St. John's College, Cambridge

Kingdon, wanda aka haifa a watan Nuwamba 1883, ɗa ne ga Walter Kingdon. Ya yi karatu a Eastbourne College, kuma a St John's College, Cambridge .

Kingdon ya yi aiki da Ma’aikatar Mulki a Gambiya a matsayin Sufeto na Makarantu da Mataimakin Shari’a, sannan ya kasance memba a Majalisar Dokokin kasar. Ya kasance babban lauya na Uganda, kuma an nada shi a shekarar 1918 a matsayin babban mai shari'a na Gold Coast. Ya kasance Knight Bachelor.[1]

An nada Kingdon ne a matsayin shugaban hukumar da za ta binciki tashe-tashen hankulan da aka yi a yankunan Calabar da Owerri a 1929 da 1930 wanda ya yi sanadiyyar mutuwar mutane 55.[2] Rahoton na hukumar ya nuna cewa rashin isassun horon ‘yan sanda da kuma hana binciken laifukan da ba su dace ba ya taimaka wajen karya dokokin kasar.

Ya kasance Alkalin Alkalai mafi dadewa a Najeriya. Ya yi aiki a karkashin gwamnoni hudu na mulkin mallaka: Graeme Thomson, Donald Cameron, Bernard Bourdillon da Arthur Richards. Ya kuma yi aiki a matsayin Babban Lauyan Najeriya, daga 1919 zuwa 1925, kuma ya shirya tare da tsara litattafai masu yawa game da dokokin Afirka ta Yamma.[3]

Donald Kingdon ya auri Kathleen Moody, wacce diya ce ga dan kasuwa Charles Edmund Moody,[4] kuma ita ce jikar Manjo-Janar Richard Clement Moody (wanda ya kafa British Columbia) da Mary Hawks na daular Hawks.[1]
