Kasuwar Mammy siffa ce a cikin barikin sojan Najeriya da sansanonin sabis na matasa na kasa. Yana taka rawa a matsayin cibiyar zamantakewa da tattalin arziki ga ma'aikatan soja da iyalansu.Tarihin Kasuwar Mammy yana da alaƙa da Mammy Mariya Ochefu, wacce a shekarar 1959, ta fara wani shiri don ƙarawa danginta kuɗin shiga ta hanyar sayar da abubuwan sha, gami da abin sha na gero da aka fi sani da kunu.Yunkurin da ta yi, tare da goyon bayan al’ummar bariki, ya kai ga kafa guraren da aka kebe a cikin bariki domin sana’arta, wanda ya haifar da abin da a yanzu ake kira “Kasuwar Mammy”.
Waɗannan kasuwannin sun haɓaka fiye da asalinsu na soja, sun faɗaɗa zuwa cibiyoyin soja daban-daban a faɗin Najeriya har ma sun sami wuri a sansanonin NYSC da cibiyoyin ilimi, inda galibi ana kiran wuraren sayar da abinci da “Kasuwan Mammy”.A yau, Mammy Markets na ci gaba da zama cibiyoyin kasuwanci, suna ba da kayayyaki iri-iri, ciki har da abinci, tufafi, kayan lantarki, da kayan gida.
Tarihi
[gyara sashe | gyara masomin]Kasuwar Mammy, wacce a yanzu ta kasance mai muhimmanci ga rayuwar sojan Najeriya, ta samo asali ne daga shirin Mammy Maria Ochefu. A cikin 1959, Mammy Maria Ochefu, wata sabuwar mazauni a Barracks Army a Abakpa, Enugu, ta nemi samun ƙarin kudin shiga.[1][2]Aikinta ya fara ne da siyar da kayan shaye-shaye, gami da shahararren abin sha na gero da aka fi sani da kunu.[3] An jawo sojoji zuwa kofarta saboda sabo da kimar kununta[4].
Duk da haka, aikinta na kasuwanci ya fuskanci adawa daga Regiment Sergeant Major (RSM), wanda ya ba da misali da damuwa game da ƙudaje da tallace-tallace na sararin samaniya ya jawo hankalinsa.[5].RSM ta umarci Mammy Ode da ta daina yin kunu da siyar. Mammy Ode da mijinta, wanda ba jami’in soja ba ne, sun yi shakkar ƙalubalantar ikon RSM.[6]
Labarin ya bazu ko'ina cikin bariki, inda aka samu goyon baya daga sojoji, jami'ai, da fararen hula. Sun jaddada kyakkyawar tasirin kunu na Mammy Ode ga al’ummar bariki[7].Daga ƙarshe, RSM ya ba da kai ga matsin lamba, ya ba Mammy Ode damar keɓe wuri a cikin bariki don kasuwancinta.[8]
Da sauri rumfar Mammy Ode ta zama matattarar aiki, tare da yawan bukatar kununta. Sauran matan da ke cikin bariki suka bi sahunsu, suka kafa rumfuna suna bambamta kayan sadaka[9].Bangaren barikin da ke da wannan kasuwa mai cike da cunkoso ya zama sananne da suna “Kasuwar Mammy.[10] A tsawon lokaci, Kasuwar Mammy ta fadada fiye da barikin mutum ɗaya zuwa cibiyoyin sojoji a faɗin Najeriya.[11] Tasirin Kasuwan Mammy ya zarce na soja, har ya kai sansanonin masu yiwa kasa hidima (NYSC) da ma wasu cibiyoyin ilimi, inda ake kiran wuraren sayar da abinci da sunan "Kasuwar Mammy."[12]
