MINT gajarta ce da ke nufin Ƙasashen Mexico, Indonesia, Nigeria, da Turkiyya.[1][2] An samo kalmar ne asali a cikin shekarar 2014 daga  Fidelity Investments, kamfanin sarrafa kadari na tushen Boston, [2] kuma Jim O'Neill na Goldman Sachs ya shaharar, wanda ya Ƙirkiro kalmar BRIC.[3][4] Ana amfani da kalmar da farko a fannin tattalin arziki da na kuɗi da kuma a fannin ilimi. Amfani da shi ya girma musamman a fannin zuba jari, inda ake amfani da shi wajen yin la’akari da lamuni da waɗannan gwamnatocin ke bayarwa. Su ma wadannan kasashe hudu suna cikin "Goma sha daya na gaba".
