Manufar Ci gaba mai dorewa 4 (SDG 4 ko Global Goal 4) game da ingantaccen ilimi ne kuma yana cikin 17 Manufofin Ci gaba mai dorewa da Majalisar Dinkin Duniya ta kafa a watan Satumba 2015.[1] Cikakken taken SDG 4 shine "Tabbatar da ingantaccen ilimi mai cike da daidaito da kuma inganta damar koyo na tsawon rai ga kowa".[2]
SDG 4 yana da maƙasudai guda goma waɗanda aka auna su da alamomi 11. Makasudin sakamakon bakwai sune: ilimin firamare da sakandare kyauta; daidaitaccen damar samun ingantaccen ilimin gaba da firamare; fasaha mai araha, sana'a da ilimi mafi girma; yawan adadin mutanen da ke da ƙwarewa masu dacewa don nasarar kuɗi; kawar da duk wani wariya a cikin ilimi; karatun duniya da ƙididdiga; da ilimi don ci gaba mai dorewa da zama ɗan ƙasa na duniya. Hanyoyi guda uku na manufofin aiwatarwa[3] sune: ginawa da haɓaka makarantu masu haɗaka da aminci; fadada manyan guraben karo ilimi ga kasashe masu tasowa; da kuma kara samar da kwararrun malamai a kasashe masu tasowa.
SDG 4 na nufin samarwa yara da matasa inganci da sauƙin samun ilimi da sauran damar koyo. Ɗaya daga cikin manufofinsa shine cimma ilimin duniya da ƙididdiga. Babban sashi a cikin samun ilimi da ƙwarewa masu mahimmanci a cikin yanayin koyo. Don haka, buƙatar gaggawar gina ƙarin wuraren ilimi da haɓaka na yanzu don samar da aminci, haɗaka, da ingantaccen yanayin koyo ga kowa.[4]
An samu babban ci gaba ta fuskar samun ilimi musamman a matakin firamare ga maza da mata. Dangane da ci gaban da aka samu, shiga cikin manyan makarantu a duniya ya kai miliyan 225 a shekarar 2018, kwatankwacin adadin yawan masu rajista da kashi 38%[5]

Matsayin ilimi don tabbatar da ci gaba mai dorewa bai takaitu ga yankuna masu tasowa ba; amma duk duniya gaba daya.[6]Babban makasudin ci gaba mai dorewa 4 (SDG 4) ita ce samar da ingantaccen ilimi mai inganci wanda zai inganta yanayin rayuwar ɗalibin da kuma makomar al'umma[7]
An samu babban ci gaba wajen inganta samun ilimi musamman a matakin firamare ga maza da mata.[8]Kasashen dake kudu da hamadar sahara sun sami karuwar adadin kammala karatun firamare daga kashi 49 cikin dari a shekarar 2000 zuwa kashi 60 cikin 100 a shekarar 2006.[9]
