  1. Thomas Falkner (Manchester, October 6, 1702 – January 30, 1784) was an English Jesuit, surgeon, ethnologist, botanist and zoologist. In 1774 Falkner published a book under the title "A Description of Patagonia and the adjoining parts of South America, with a grammar and a short vocabulary, and some particulars relating to Falkland's Islands".
  2. Florian Paucke (or Baucke), (Wińsko, Wołów County, Lower Silesia, September 24, 1719 - Zwettl Abbey, April 13, 1780). He was a Jesuit priest, ethnologist, botanist and zoologist.
