Wannan harshen Turanci ne na cikin gida wanda kusan yawancin 'yan Nijeriya ke amfani da shi. Ana kiran yaren da pijin ko broken english. Akan yi amfani da harshen a matsayin pijin, ingausa, ko kuma a salon fasahar sarrafa harshe wanda ake amfani da su dangane da yanayin mu'amala.[2] Akwai littafi da aka yi don koyar da harshen pidgin kuma ya samu karbuwa matuka a gurin mutane.[3][4]

Ba a Najeriya kadai ake amfani da wannan harshen na Pidjin ba, har da kasashen ketare kamar Benin, Ghana, Cameroon da sauransu.[5]
