I am the owner of Hausa Online, a weblog that is meant for anyone interested in learning to understand, speak, read and write Hausa. However, many of the hints and ideas I try to communicate there may be useful for learning other less commonly taught languages (LCTLs), too.

I am not a native speaker of Hausa, I have only studied it at a University in Germany. I am not so fluent in Hausa, that’s why I don’t write my posts IN Hausa but rather ABOUT Hausa and other “Less commonly taught languages”. I hope that more learned Hausa speakers will start communicating their ideas on the internet. One project that I like to encourage people to get involved with is “Hausa Wikipedia“, which could otherwise soon be closed.
