An kafa Cibiyar Dokokin Yanayi ta Afirka (African Climate Policy Center (ACPC)), a matsayin wata muhimmin al'amari na samar da ilimi kan sauyin yanayi a Afirka don Shirin Climate for Development (ClimDev) Afirka. ACPC na da manufa guda biyu na musamman; bayar da gudunmawa wajen kawar da fatara ta hanyar dagewa da daidaitawa da sauyin yanayi a Afirka da inganta karfin kasashen Afirka don samun damar shiga cikin shawarwarin sauyin yanayi yadda ya kamata.[1][2][3][4]

An kafa ACPC a shekara ta 2010 tare da manufar hangen nesa na shekaru 10 akan yanayi don ci gaba a Afirka, tare da tallafi daga Hukumar Tarayyar Afirka (AUC), Hukumar Tattalin Arziki ta Majalisar Dinkin Duniya (ECA), da Bankin Raya Afirka (AfDB). A shekara ta 2011, ci gaban yanayi a Afirka ya fara aiki a matakin farko tare da ACPC a matsayin sakatariyarta. Kashi na farko ya dauki tsawon shekaru shida (2011-2016) kuma dangane da ci gaban da aka samu a kashi na farko, ACPC ta bullo da wata sabuwar hanyar jagorantar ayyukan na tsawon shekaru bakwai masu zuwa a shekarar 2017.[2][4]

  • Habaka karfin ƙasashen Afirka don inganta tsare-tsare masu daidaituwa da rage saka hannun jari a cikin bayanan yanayi da ilimin da aka samar a kowane mataki
  • Habaka ƙarfin hasashen Afirka don daidaita matsalolin yanayi zuwa tsarin ci gaba
  • Tabbatar da ingantaccen tushe na kimiyyar yanayi da ake amfani da shi da kuma kimanta raunin yanayi, kasada da tasiri da kuma
  • Gano fifikon sassa da martani don gudanar da haɗarin yanayi da jagorantar saka hannun jari masu alaƙa.[2]

Ayyukan ƙungiyar sun kasu zuwa uku; Kirkirar ilimi, rabawa da hadin gwiwar sadarwa; ba da shawarwari da hadin gwiwa; da kuma hidimar Shawarwari da Hadin Kai na Fasaha.[2][1]
