Gundumar Sabari tana arewa maso yamma na lardin Khost, Afghanistan . Tana iyaka da gundumar Musa Khel daga yamma, lardin Paktia a arewa, gundumar Bak daga gabas da gundumomin Tere Zayi da Khost a kudu. Gundumar Sabari tana da nata gwamna, wanda gwamna mai ci na lardin Khost ya nada, da kuma jami'an tsaron Afghanistan (ANSF) ke da alhakin duk ayyukan tabbatar da doka.
A cewar Hukumar Kididdiga da Labarai ta Afghanistan (NSIA), 2020 da aka kiyasta yawan mutanen gundumar ya kasance mutane 80,114. Cibiyar gundumar ita ce garin Yakubi, wanda ke mafi yawan yankin gabas na gundumar.

Taliban ta musanta rawar da ta taka a harin.

An tsare wasu da ake zargi da tayar da kayar baya. Binciken ya zo ne a daidai lokacin da dakarun ISAF suka yi yunkurin gano wani kwamandan Haqqani da ake kyautata zaton yana yankin. [1]
