Da girma Yacoub ta ce tana son zama lauya. Yacoub ya karanci ilimin ɗan Adam a jami'ar Chadi. Daga baya kuma, ta ƙaranci sadarwa, ta kware a kafofin watsa labarai na audiovisual a Institut national de l'audiovisuel da ke Bry-sur-Marne, Faransa.[3][1][4]

Komawa ƙasar Chadi, Yacoub ya yi aiki a matsayin mai gabatarwa da jarida a gidan rediyo. Bayan kafa gidan talabijin na farko na Chadi, Télé Tchad, ta canza zuwa wannan kuma ta fara aiki a matsayin shugabar shirye-shirye. Ita kaɗai ce mace a duk tashar. Daga baya Yacoub ya zama babban manajan gidan talabijin na kasar Chadi. Ta kuma yi aiki a matsayin ƴar jarida a gidan rediyon Channel Africa ta Kudu .

Shekaru da yawa, Yacoub ya yi aiki da Ƙungiyar Tashoshin Rediyo masu zaman kansu na Chadi (Union des Radios Privées du Tchad, URPT).[5] Haka kuma, ta kasance shugabar gidan rediyon Dja FM mai zaman kansa. Ita ce mace ta farko da ta bude gidan rediyo mai zaman kansa a kasar Chadi. [3] Ta bayyana cewa gidajen rediyon al'umma suna taka muhimmiyar rawa wajen ci gaban ƙasar Chadi, amma ba sa samun wani gagarumin tallafi daga kasar Chadi. [4]

Baya ga aikinta a gidan Talabijin na Chadi, Yacoub ya kuma shirya fina-finai da yawa, galibin rubuce-rubuce, gajerun fina-finai tare da kamfanin samar da nata, Sud Cap Production, wanda ta kafa a shekara ta, 2001.

Duk a cikin fina-finanta da kuma a kan allo, Yacoub ya himmatu wajen ganin an inganta hakkin bil’adama, musamman wajen tabbatar da daidaiton mata a kasar Chadi, lamarin da ya sanya ta zama abin danne mata. Shortan fim ɗinta mai suna "Dilemme au féminin" wanda ya soki kaciyar mata ya jawo cece-kuce musamman.[6] A fim ya kai ga karfi zanga-zanga a kasar da kuma a fatawa da aka ambata a kansa ta saboda nudity da sauran ƙyãmã abu.[7] 

A shekarar, 2015, an kama ta ne bayan da wata hatsaniya ta barke tsakanin ‘yan uwanta da wasu ‘yan kasuwa da ke son siyan gidanta.
