Sarki Jaja na Opobo (cikakken suna: Jubo Jubogha; 1821-1891) ɗan sarauta ne ɗan kasuwa kuma shi ne ya kafa garin-Opobo-a cikin yankin da yanzu ke jihar Ribas ta Najeriya. An haife shi a Umuduruoha Amaigbo a cikin jihar Imo a yanzu, an dauke shi yana da shekara goma sha biyu a matsayin bawa a Bonny daga Obua Ajukwu na Oguta, wanda ya zo Bonny don siyan bayi. Daga baya Jumo Jumofe ya dauki suna "Jaja".

Jaja ya sami hanyar fita daga bautar; an sanya shi bisa ga al'adun Ijaw (Ibani) kuma ya zama shugaban kungiyar 'yan kasuwa na Anna Pepple House na Tsibirin Bonny. A karkashin sa, Anna Pepple ta mamaye wasu gidajen kasuwanci har sai da takaddama da Manilla Pepple House karkashin jagorancin Oko Jumbo ta tilasta Jaja ya balle ya kafa jihar Opobo (mil 26 gabas da Bonny) a 1869

Opobo ya zo ya mamaye kasuwancin man dabino na yankin, kuma ya mallaki goma sha huɗu daga cikin gidajen Bonny goma sha takwas na kasuwanci. Jaja ya toshe hanyar samun damar fatake na Burtaniya zuwa cikin gida yadda ya kamata keɓance kasuwanci; Opobo kuma ya aika da man dabino kai tsaye zuwa Liverpool, ba tare da 'yan tsakiyar Ingila ba.

A taron Berlin na 1884 turawan sun ayyana Opobo a matsayin yankin Biritaniya.
