Thomas Hutton-Mills, (an haifeshi ranar 3 ga watan Yuni, 1865 - 4 Maris 1931) ya kasance lauya, jami'in diflomasiyya kuma jagoran kishin ƙasa a cikin Gold Coast.

An haifi Thomas Hutton Mills a James Town, Accra, ɗan Emma Bannerman, 'yar Gwamna James Bannerman ta biyu,[1] da John Edward Hutton Mills, ɗan kasuwa na garin James.

Ya yi karatu a Makarantar Wesleyan da ke Accra da Cape Coast, Makarantar Sakandaren Wesleyan da ke Freetown, Saliyo, Makarantar Harrow da kuma a Jami'ar Cambridge da ke Ingila.[2]

Bayan ya fara aiki a matsayin magatakardar kasuwanci, ya kasance ma'aikacin gwamnati a ofishin Lauyan Sarauniya,[2] har sai da aka kore shi saboda shiga cikin zanga-zangar Satumba 1886.[3] A 1886, ya auri Florence Nanka-Bruce, 'yar uwar Frederick Nanka-Bruce; bayan rasuwarta da wuri ya auri wata 'yar uwa, Emma Nanka-Bruce.[2]

Bayan aiki a matsayin babban magatakarda a ofishin kawunsa Edmund Bannerman, lauya kuma mai mallakar jarida, Hutton-Mills ya tafi Ingila a 1891 don yin karatun doka a Tsakiyar Haikali, ya dawo yin aiki a Accra lokacin da aka kira shi mashaya a 1894.[1] A cikin 1897 ya shahara a cikin muhawara kan Majalisar Garin da Dokokin Aiki na Dole. A cikin 1898 shi ne lauyan farko na Afirka da aka zaɓa a Majalisar Dokoki, yana aiki a Majalisar daga 1898 zuwa 1904, kuma daga 1909 zuwa 1919.[4] Ya kasance memba na Majalisar Garin Accra daga 1905 zuwa 1911. Babban mai ba da shawara ga Kojo Ababio, ya goyi bayan haƙƙin mutane a cikin kwata na Alata na Accra.[3] Shi ne Shugaban farko na Babban Taron Majalisar Tarayyar Burtaniya ta Yammacin Afirka a cikin 1920.[2]
