Tsibirin Ulenge a hukumance, Ulenge Island Marine Reserve (Kisiwa cha Hifadhi Akiba cha Ulenge, a cikin Swahili) tsibiri ne mai ƙarfi kariya, wanda ke zaune a cikin Tanga Bay na Pemba Channel a ƙarƙashin Tanga Marine Reserves (TMRS) tare da rukunin IUCN na II wanda ke cikin Majalisar Birnin Tanga na Yankin Tanga a Tanzania. Tsibirin Kwale da Tsibirin Ulenge sune kawai tsibirai a cikin ajiyar ruwa waɗanda ake zaune a lokacin rani. Daga cikin dukkanin tsarin ajiyar ruwa na Tanga, tsibirin Ulenge shine mafi lalacewa. Ulenge's reefs yana da mafi ƙarancin adadin kifi da mafi ƙanƙanta murfin murjani da bambancin jinsuna (5-7%, 16 coral genres). Wannan galibi saboda Tanga Bay da Majalisar Birnin Tanga suna kusa, wanda ke da mummunar tasirin ɗan adam. Tsibirin Ulenge masu magana da Ingilishi suna kiransa da sunan Bird Island saboda muhimmancinsa a matsayin wurin tsarkake tsuntsaye.
Tarihi
[gyara sashe | gyara masomin]Mutanen Swahili daga arewa, karkashin jagorancin Cif Mwinyi Ulenge, an ce su ne mazaunan farko na tsibirin Ulenge. An tilasta musu tafiya zuwa ƙasar saboda karancin ruwa a tsibirin. Yawancin su sun koma yankin Chongoani na birnin Tanga.[1] Tsibirin kuma shine wurin shahararrun fitilu biyu na Tanga; Ulenge Island Front Range Lighthouse da Ulenge Island Rear Range Lighthouse.
Yanayin ƙasa da muhalli
[gyara sashe | gyara masomin]Babban wurin zama a Ulenge Island Marine Reserve shine tsire-tsire na mangrove. Duk da kasancewar dukkan nau'ikan mangrove, nau'ikan da ke da tsarin tushe mai ƙarfi, kamar Rhizophora mucronata da Sonneratia alba, sun fi yawa. Za'a iya samun shuke-shuke da yawa (itace da ciyawa) da dabbobi (ba a yi nazari ba) a tsibirin Ulenge. Ruwa na yau da kullun a cikin tsarin halittu na mangrove a kan Ulenge yana haifar da wani nau'i mai laushi na yashi.[2]
A cewar Birdlife International, Ulenge da Kwale Island Marine Reserves suna cikin IBM 35, wani muhimmin yankin tsuntsaye. Wannan yanki na tsuntsaye ya ƙunshi nau'ikan tsuntsaye daban-daban, gami da Greater Sand Plover, Curlew Sandpiper, Crab Plover, waders masu ƙaura, da sauransu da yawa. Duk da barazanar ayyukan ɗan adam da dalilai masu alaƙa da canjin yanayi, mangroves da coral reefs ba su cikin haɗari ba.[3]
A yamma da kudancin tsibirin Ulenge, yankin Intertidal ya fi tsayi (har zuwa 800 m), yayin da ya fi guntu (50-350 m) a gefen teku. Arewacin tsibirin Ulenge, intertidal dutse ne, tare da manyan mats na algae a cikin ƙananan yankuna. A kan ƙananan yankin intertidal a gefen teku, an kuma gano matsunan algae. Tare da tashar Ulenge-Kwale, bayan mats na algal, zuwa kudu da kudu maso yammacin Ulenge (a Tanga Bay), kuma a cikin ƙananan yankuna na Kwale Bay, mutum na iya ganin gadon seagrass.[4]
Turbidity da nau'in sediment na kasa, waɗanda aka tsara su ta hanyar ruwan sama / kogin kogin da yanayin teku, sun ƙayyade adadin da rarraba ciyawa. A gefen teku, coral reefs kaɗan ne. Sakamakon binciken manta tow da yin iyo na benthic ya nuna wani karamin yanki na coral reefs wanda aka jaddada shi da datti daga Tanga Bay da koguna da ke kusa. A mafi yawan ruwan tsibirin Ulenge, akwai kasa da 10% murfin murjani.[5]
