Urwah ibn Masʽud (Larabci: عُرْوَة ٱبْن مَسْعُود, romanized: 'Urwah ibn Masʿūd) Balarabe ne na almara, sarkin Tahafi na Taif wanda ya zama abokin Muhammad. Ya kasance ɗaya daga cikin mutanen farko daga ƙabilarsa da suka karɓi Musulunci, kuma manyan sarakuna suka kashe shi yayin da yake wa'azin Musulunci a garinsu. Dan uwan Barza bint Mas'ud ne, wanda ya auri Safwan bn Umayya.
Ya kasance daya daga cikin fitattun mutanen Larabawa da suka shiga tattaunawar game da zaman lafiyar Hudaibiyya a madadin Kuraishawa. Ya ce, “Na ziyarci sarakunan Farisa, Rum da Abisiniya, amma ban ga wani shugaba da mutanensa suka fi girmamawa da girmamawa fiye da Muhammadu ba. Idan ya umarce su da yin wani abu, suna yin shi ba tare da bata lokaci ba. Idan ya yi Alwala (Larabci: وُضُوء, romanized: Wuḍūʾ) duk suna neman ragowar ruwan da ya yi amfani da shi. Ba su taba kallon sa a idanu ba, saboda girmamawa.”

[gyara sashe | gyara masomin]A cikin hadisin da aka ruwaito a cikin Sahihu Muslim, Muhammadu ya ambaci cewa ʿĪsā (Larabci: عِيسَىٰ, Jesus) yayi kama da ibn Mas'ud mafi kusa a zahiri.[3] Ta hanyar kwatancen Isa da aka danganta ga Muhammed, wannan zai nuna launin fata ja, matsakaicin tsayi da lanƙwasa, gashi mai gudana.
