Asaba[1] birni ce, a cikin jihar Delta, a cikin Najeriya. Tana nan daga yammacin gabar rafin Niger, ta karamar hukumar Oshimili South.[2][3][4] Asaba na da yawan jama'a kimanin mutum 149,603 a kiadayar shekara ta 2006,[5] da yawan mutane a birnin kimanin mutum dubu dari biyar.[6]

An san birnin Asaba da mu'ala iri-iri musamman a dalilin wuraren shakatawa da otel-otel dake garin, gidajen rawa, swuraren kallo na sinima, da wuraren shahulgula iri-iri. Kalmar Asaba ta samo asali ne daga kalmar Ahabam ma'ana "Na zaba da kyau" ko kuma "I have chosen well" da turanci, kalmar da aka hakayo daga Nnebisi, wanda shine asalin wanda ya samar da Asaba.[7][8][2] Mafi akasarin mutanen Asaba inyamurai ne.

Birnin Asaba ta kasance a da babban birnin yankunan mulkin Turawa na kudanci Najeriya wato Southern Nigeria Protectorate.[9] An samar da birnin a shekara ta 1884.[10] A tsakanin 1886 da 1900, ita ke dauke da kamfanin Royal Niger Company, wanda turawa suka kafa don habaka kasuwanci da fitar da kaya zuwa kasashen turai. Asaba na nan daga degree6 daga arewacin equator, sannan tana da nisan iri daya daga meridian sannan tana da nisan kusan kilomita 160km (mil 100) daga arecin inda ruwan rafin Niger ke gangarawa cikin tekun Atlantic Ocean.[8] Asaba ta mamaye fili mai fadin 300kmsq. Tana da zafi na kimanin 32c a lokaci na rani, sannan da matsakaicin adadin ruwan sama na kimanin millimitoci 2,700m (106 in) a lokacin damuna.

Babban birnin Asaba ya hada sauran makwabtan garuruwa kamar as Igbuzo, Okpanam, Oko, Okwe and Ugbolu wanda ke yankin yammacin River Niger.
