A ranar 9 ga watan Fabrairu 2016, wasu mata biyu ƴan ƙuna baƙin wake da ke da alaƙa da Boko Haram sun tayar da bama-baman da ke jikinsu, inda suka kashe mutane fiye da 60 tare da jikkata wasu 78 a wani sansanin ‘yan gudun hijira da ke Dikwa a Najeriya. Jami’ai sun ce wasu ‘yan ƙuna baƙin wake guda biyar ne suka kutsa cikin sansanin a matsayin ‘yan gudun hijira biyu daga cikinsu mata ƴan tsakanin shekaru 17 zuwa 20, inda suka tada bama-bamai a lokacin da ‘yan gudun hijira ke cikin jerin gwanon masu neman abinci.[1] Wata ‘yar ƙuna bakin waken ta uku ta ki kashe kanta bayan ta shiga sansanin ta gano da ƴan uwanta a cikin (yan gudun hijirar), yayin da wasu biyu kuma suka ki tayar da nasu bama-baman dake jikin su, suka tsere daga sansanin.[2][3][4][5]

Mataimakin shugaban Najeriya Yemi Osinbajo ya yi jawabi ga al'ummar ƙasar bayan harin a wata sanarwa da ya fitar: "Za a tura rundunar gwamnatin tarayya domin farautar waɗanda suka aikata wannan mugunyar aiki tare da tunkarar 'yan ta'adda da ke barazana ga rayuka, 'yanci da dukiyoyin 'yan Najeriya baki ɗaya.
