Ta yi aiki a matsayin Ministar farko ta Ilimi Mai Girma, Kimiyya da Fasaha a Mozambique (daga shekara ta 2000 zuwa shekara ta 2005) kuma ta kasance Mataimakin Shugaban Jami'ar Eduardo Mondlane (daga shekara ta 1998 zuwa shekara ta 2000). Kwanan nan, Brito tayi aiki a matsayin mai ba da shawara ga Magajin Garin Maputo na dabarun tsare-tsare da alaƙar waje a babban birnin Maputo .
