Tafkin Abbe,wanda aka fi sani da Tafkin Abhe Bad, tafkin gishiri ne, yana kwance a kan iyakar Habasha da Djibouti. Yana daya daga cikin jerin manyan tabkuna guda shida masu hadewa, wadanda suka haɗa da (daga arewa zuwa kudu) tabkunan Gargori, Laitali, Gummare, Bario da Afambo. Kogin Awash yana gudana a cikin tafkin da babu lambatu. Tafkin Abbe shine tsakiyar Yankin Cutar, Afar.[1] Tabkin Abbe yana ɗayan wuraren da ba za a iya samunsu a duniya ba. Ruwan kansa an san shi da flamingos. Yanayin shimfidar wuri ne na musamman.

Tafkin Abbe shine makoma ta ƙarshe ta ruwan Kogin Awash. Ya kuma ta'allaka ne a Afar Triple Junction, wurin taro na tsakiya na ɓawon ɓaɓɓake na Earthasa, wanda ke bayyana fasalin ɓacin rai na Afar. Anan ɓawon ɓawo guda uku kowane ɗayan yana janyewa daga wannan mahimmin yanki, ko da yake ba duka yake da sauri ɗaya ba.[2]
