Adrian "Adi" Paterson FRSN FTSE masanin kimiyar Afirka ta Kudu ne kuma injiniya wanda aka fi sani da aikinsa akan bincike da ci gaba na Modular Reactor Pebble Bed. A cikin shekarar 1984, Paterson ya shiga Majalisar Afirka ta Kudu don Binciken Kimiyya da Masana'antu (CSIR) a matsayin masanin kimiyyar bincike, yana aiki akan kayan yumbu. Kamfanin ya ragu sosai bayan tafiyarsa. A waccan shekarar, an naɗa shi Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technology, Science and Engineering. Paterson ya sami kyautar 2012 Professional Engineer of the Year ta Sydney Division of Engineers Australia[6] kuma ya yi aiki a matsayin mai ba da shawara kan jerin shirye-shiryen talabijin na Uranium-Twisting the Dragon's Tail (2015).[7]
Paterson mai ba da shawara ne don haɓaka masana'antar nukiliya a Ostiraliya. A cikin shekarar 2015, an zaɓe shi a matsayin fellow na Royal Society of New South Wales kuma an kira shi a gaban Hukumar Kula da Makamashi ta Nukiliya a Kudancin Ostiraliya a matsayin ƙwararren shaida. Ya yi magana ne a kan batun Ilimin Nukiliya da Bunƙasa Fasaha.[9]
Jami'ar Wollongong ta gabatar da shi tare da Doctor of Science (honoris causa) a cikin shekarar 2017.[10]
