Gundumar Sanatan Benuwai ta Kudu ta haɗa ƙananan hukumomin Ado, Agatu, Apa, Obi, Ogbadibo, Ohimini, Oju, Okpokwu, Otukpo da Gboko[1] Akwai ƴan shugabannin majalisar dattijai guda biyu da suka fito daga gundumar, Ameh Ebute wanda ya kasance shugaban Majalisa a jamhuriya ta uku kuma shugaba mafi karancin shekaru, da kuma David Mark, shugaban majalisar dattawan Najeriya mafi dadewa. Ita ce gundumar ɗaya tilo da ta haɗa shugabannin majalisar dattawa guda biyu inda jihar Benue ta kasance jiha daya tilo da ta samu shugabannin majalisar dattawa uku tare da Iyorchia Ayu daga Benue Arewa-maso-Yamma kuma a matsayin shugaban majalisar dattawa a jamhuriya ta uku. An fara zaɓen David Mark a shekarar 1999 kuma ya sauka a ƙarshen wa’adinsa na 5 a Majalisar Dattawa a shekarar 2019 (bayan ya shafe shekaru 20 yana majalisar).[2][3] A halin yanzu Sanatan dake wakiltar Benue ta Kudu shine Abba Moro na jam'iyyar PDP.[4][5]
