Mathias Katamba masanin tattalin arziki ne dan kasar Uganda, babban jami'in kasuwanci, ma'aikacin banki kuma dan kasuwa. Shi ne manajan darakta kuma babban jami'in gudanarwa na bankin DFCU, bankin kasuwanci mafi girma na biyu a Uganda, wanda zai fara aiki a watan Janairu 2019.[1]


Kafin haka, ya kasance manajan darakta kuma babban jami'in gudanarwa na Bankin Kudi na Gidaje, bankin kasuwanci, mallakar gwamnatin Uganda da Asusun Tsaron Jama'a (Uganda), ƙungiyar fansho mai cin gashin kanta ga ma'aikatan da ba na gwamnati ba a Uganda.[1][1][2]


Katamba ya yi karatunsa na farko a Uganda, inda ya halarci kwalejin St. Mary's College Kisubi don karatun sakandare. Daga nan sai ya shiga Jami'ar Greenwich, a Ingila, inda ya kammala karatunsa na digiri na farko a fannin tattalin arziki. Digirinsa na Master of Science in Financial Management ya samu ne daga Jami'ar Gabashin Landan, ita ma a Burtaniya

Katamba ya yi karatunsa na farko a Uganda, inda ya halarci kwalejin St. Mary's College Kisubi don karatun sakandare. Daga nan sai ya shiga Jami'ar Greenwich, a Ingila, inda ya kammala karatunsa na digiri na farko a fannin tattalin arziki. Digirinsa na Master of Science in Financial Management ya samu ne daga Jami'ar Gabashin Landan, ita ma a Burtaniya.[3] Har ila yau, yana riƙe da Difloma na Digiri a Harkokin Jama'a, wanda Cibiyar Harkokin Jama'a ta Chartered (CIPR) ta ba shi, wata cibiyar Birtaniya. A cikin shekaru da yawa, ya halarci darussan jagoranci na ci gaba daga cibiyoyi da yawa, ciki har da Makarantar Harvard Kennedy da Makarantar Kasuwancin Wharton.[4]

Ko da yake har yanzu yana makaranta, Katamba ya nuna fasahar kasuwanci, ta hanyar fara kasuwanci a lokacin hutu tsakanin makarantar sakandare da sakandare.[5]

A cikin shekaru 10 zuwa 15 da suka gabata, yana da alaka ta kut-da-kut da masana'antar bankin Uganda. An jingina shi da:

  • The transformation of Pride Microfinance Limited from a Non-Government Organization (NGO), into a Tier III Deposit-taking microfinance financial institution (MFI).
  • The transformation of Uganda Finance Trust Limited, from a Tier III, Deposit-Taking MFI into a Tier 1 commercial bank, Finance Trust Bank.[6]

A shekara ta 2011, bayan shekaru 5 yana shugabantar Uganda Finance Trust Limited,[7] ya karɓi baki daga bankin kasuwanci har zuwa lokacin da aka nada shi Shugaba na Bankin Kuɗi na Gidaje, a cikin watan Afrilu 2014. Kafin haka, ya kasance Manajan Abokin Hulɗa kuma wanda ya kafa Progression Capital Africa (PCA), asusu mai zaman kansa na dalar Amurka miliyan 40 da ke Mauritius.[8] Kafin shiga Bankin Finance Trust, ya yi aiki a wasu manyan cibiyoyin hada-hadar kudi na kasa da na yanki; ciki har da Orient Bank (yanzu I&M Bank Uganda, PostBank Uganda da Absa Group Limited.[9]
