Ophelia Mensah Hayford 'yar siyasar Ghana ce.[1] Ta tsaya takara a babban zaben Ghana na 2020 kuma ta lashe kujerar majalisar wakilai na mazabar Mfantsiman.[2]

An haifi Hayford a ranar 29 ga Oktoba 1973 kuma ta fito daga Akwapim-Akropong a Gabashin kasar Ghana. Ta sami digiri na farko a Kimiyyar Siyasa da Harsuna a 2012. Ta kuma sami LLB. a cikin Dokar Laifuka; Dokar Haƙƙin Dan Adam ta Duniya da Dokar Gudanarwa a cikin 2018.[3]

Ophelia ta kasance mataimakiyar Sufeton 'yan sanda (ASP). Ita ce babban sufeto na hukumar 'yan sandan Ghana. Ophelia Hayford ta kuma yi aiki da sashin Interpol a hedikwatar CID. Ophelia ta shiga aikin ‘yan sandan Ghana ne a shekarar 1993 a matsayin daukar ma’aikata. Kuma tun daga lokacin, ta yi hidima na tsawon shekaru 27.[4]

Hayford ita memba ce a New Patriotic Party. Marigayi mijinta, Ekow Hayford shi ne dan majalisa mai wakiltar mazabar Mfantsiman. Bayan mutuwar mijinta a lokacin da yake aiki, ta yanke shawarar maye gurbinsa a matsayin dan majalisa mai wakiltar mazabar Mfantsiman.[1] A matsayinta na mataimakiyar Sufeto a hukumar ‘yan sanda ta Ghana, ta mika takardar murabus din ta kamar yadda kundin tsarin mulkin kasar na shekarar 1992 ya bukata domin samun damar tsayawa takara.[5][6]

A watan Disamba 2020, an zabe ta a matsayin ‘yar majalisa mai wakiltar mazabar Mfantsiman bayan ta fafata a babban zaben Ghana na 2020 a karkashin tikitin New Patriotic Party kuma ta yi nasara.[7] Ta samu kuri'u 36,091 wanda ke wakiltar kashi 51.83% na yawan kuri'un da aka kada. An zabe ta a kan James Esuon na National Democratic Congress da Alijatu Ibrahim ta Ghana Union Movement. Wadannan sun samu kuri'u 32,379 da 911 bi da bi cikin jimillar kuri'un da aka kada. Waɗannan sun yi daidai da 46.76%, da 1.31% bi da bi na jimlar ƙuri'un da aka kada.[2][8][9]

Hayford ita ce mataimakiyar shugabar kwamitin tsaro da cikin gida sannan kuma memba a kwamitin majalisar.[3]
