Iroro Tanshi (an haife ta a shekara ta 1984 ko 1985)[1] ƙwararriya ce kuma masaniya a fannin kimiya na wurare masu zafi na Najeriya wacce ke nazarin ilimin halittu da bambancin jemagu na Afirka. Ita ce mai haɗin gwiwar, Ƙungiyar Small Mammal Conservation Organisation (SMACON), wata kungiya mai zaman kanta ta Najeriya, inda ita ce darektar shirye-shirye na bincike da kuma horar da ɗalibai da takwarorinsu a kan kiyaye nau'in jinsin.[2][3]

Daga nan ta yi karatu a Jami’ar Leeds da ke Ingila, inda ta samu digiri na biyu a fannin kiyaye halittu kafin ta yi bincike da Tigga Kingston a Jami’ar Texas Tech da ke Amurka, inda aka ba ta digiri na uku a shekarar 2021.[4][5]
Sana'a
[gyara sashe | gyara masomin]Tanshi ta gano yawan jama'a ɗaya tilo na jemage mai gajeren wutsiya (Hipposideros curtus) a Najeriya, kusa da tsaunukan namun daji na Afi, kuma ta cece ta daga bacewa.[6][7] Tanshi ta kuma ba da kariya ga mafi girma a Najeriya na mallakar jemagu masu launin bambaro (Eidolon helvum) daga shawarar gwamnati na lalata bishiyar sa.
An san Tanshi ne saboda gano nau'in jemage a Najeriya wanda aka yi wa gani na karshe shekaru 45 da suka gabata. Yakinta na 'Zero Wildfire Campaign', tana jan hankalin jama'ar gari don kare muhalli masu mahimmanci ga wannan nau'in jemagu tana haifar da sakamako kuma tana taimakawa dawo da wannan nau'in daga gaɓar bacewa.
A ɗaya ɓangaren da aikinta a SMACON, Tanshi tana aiki a matsayin malama a jami'ar Benin.[2]

A cikin shekarar 2021, Tanshi ta lashe lambar yabo ta Whitley ta Asusun Whitley fund for nature.[9][10]
