Jane Catherine Ngila ita ce shugabar Sashen Kimiyyar sinadarai a Jami'ar Johannesburg, aikinta yana mayar da hankali ne kan yin amfani da nanotechnology don tsarkake ruwa. Ita ce Mukaddashiyar Darakta na Kwalejin Kimiyya ta Afirka kuma memba a Kwalejin Kimiyya ta Afirka ta Kudu.[1]

Ngila ta samu B.Ed. a shekarar 1986 da M.Sc. a cikin ilmin sunadarai a shekarar 1992 daga Jami'ar Kenyatta a Nairobi, Kenya.[2] Gwamnatin Ostiraliya ta ba ta tallafin karatu, tallafin karatu na AIDAB/EMSS.[3] Ngila ta samu digirin digirgir a fannin ilmin kimiyya na muhalli daga Jami'ar New South Wales, Australia a shekarar 1996. Ta fara aikinta a matsayin malama a sashen ilmin sinadarai a Jami'ar Kenyatta a shekarar 1989, kuma an naɗa ta a matsayin malama a shekarar 1996. Daga baya ta yi aiki a Jami'ar Botswana (1998-2006) sannan a matsayin babbar malama a Jami'ar KwaZulu-Natal (2006-2011)[4][2] kafin a naɗa ta farfesa a fannin ilmin sinadarai a Jami'ar Johannesburg a shekarar 2011. Ngila ta kasance mataimakiyar darekta a Morendat Institute of Oil & Gas (MIOG), Kenya Pipeline Company.[5]
