Mohammed Tukur shi ne Sarkin Kano, jiha ce a Arewacin Najeriya . Tukur ya shugabanci Kano a zamanin Bassa, lokacin yaƙin basasa da aka yi ta samun masu da'awar sarautar Kano.[1]

Tukur ya zama Galadima a Kano a zamanin mahaifinsa Mohammed Bello. A lokacin balaguron kaka na shekara ta 1890, sojojin Tukur sun fatattaki gungun ‘yan tawaye na Kebbi a Arugungu, kuma da alama ana cikin haka ne suka ceci Rayuwar Halifa Sultan Abdurrahman (Danyen Kasko). A 1893, jim kaɗan bayan rasuwar Sarki Muhammad Bello, Sultan Abdurrahman ya naɗa Tukur sabon Sarkin Kano . Kusan nan take wani ɓangare na Majalisar Dabo ƙarƙashin Yusuf Bin Abdullahi Maje Karofi suka yi tawaye suka bar Kano zuwa Takai. [2][3]

A lokacin fashewar Basasa yawancin Kotunan Kanon sun kasance masu biyayya ga Tukur, The Madaki, Ibrahim Mallam; Makaman Kano Iliyasu ; Sarkin Bai, Bashari Alhaji; Alkali, Modibo Salihu; Sarkin Gaya, Ibrahim Dabo da Sarkin Fulanin Dambatta sun kasance masu goyon bayansa. Chiroma na Kano, Turaki Zaki da Sarkin Fulanin Dambatta su ne suka fara tunkarar ‘yan tawaye a Gano sai Gogel da Garko. Duk da cewa sun yi nasarar kashe yusuf a yaƙin Gaya, amma duk ƙoƙarin da suka yi na daƙile tawayen ya ci tura, kuma a cikin watan Agustan 1894, ‘yan tawayen ƙarƙashin jagorancin Aliyu Mai Sango (Sabon Sarkinsu) sun kwace sansanin Kano.
