Owo birni ce, da ke cikin ƙaramar hukumar Nkanu ta Gabas (LGA) a jihar Enugu, Nijeriya.[1] Owo ta kunshi manyan ƙauyuka shida: Ashishi, Ohuani, Ishiegu, Ogere, Emene da Ndiagu. Sauran matsugunan da tun farko ke cikin manyan kauyukan sun hada da Ejaogbo, Mbulu, Ekeagu, Obegu ishiagu, Obegu Emene, Obegu Ogere, da Obegu Ohuani. Waɗannan sun haɗa da al'ummar Mbulu Owo mai cin gashin kanta da aka kirkira a cikin shekara, 2006. Garin al'ummar noma ce: Kusan kashi 80% na al'ummar manoma ne. Yawan mutanen Owo a shekarar 2014 ya kai 9,879.[2] Kiyasin yawan mutanen Owo a shekarar 2022 ya haura mutane 14,000.

An mika tarihin Owo ga wannan zamani ta hanyar tatsuniyoyi kuma akwai bayanai daban-daban na asalinsu. Owo tana a yankin kudu maso gabashin jihar Enugu. The geographical coordinates of Owo is 6.5076° N, 7.6932° E. Latitude dinta da longitude 6.496689, 7.693233 bi da bi. Ƙasar noma tana ba da damar haɓaka amfanin gona da yawa kamar itatuwan dabino, mangoro, cashew, ogbono, lemu, da abarba.

Al'ada da al'adu

Al'adar Owo da al'adun gargajiya ce ke tafiyar da rayuwar al'ummarta ta yau da kullun. Wadannan suna bayyana a cikin bukukuwan aure, tsarin shekarun haihuwa, noma, bukukuwan suna, nishadi kamar bikin masquerade[5] (Mmanwu), daukar muƙami, bukukuwan jana'izar, bikin doya da sauran bukukuwan zamantakewa kamar bikin "Ajuu" da sauransu. Har ila yau, tana da halayen al'adu da yawa tare da al'ummomin makwabta waɗanda suka dace da al'ada da al'adun Igbo. Kafin zuwan Kiristanci, Addinin Gargajiya na Afirka shi ne babban addini a garin. Al’adarsu da al’adunsu sun ta’allaka ne ga Abin bauta (Chi/Okuke) da Abin bautan kasa (Anu/Ani). Owo tana da nata kida da almara. Wakokin gargajiya na Owo sun haɗa da Igede, Ode, akatakpa da dai sauransu. Masallatan 'yan asalin sun hada da Odo/Ekpe (wanda kauyukan Ashishi da Ogere ke yi) da Omebe (wanda Ishiagu, Ohuani, Emene, Ndiagu ke yi). Wadannan masallatai suna nuna a lokacin jana'iza da jana'izar, addini da al'adu da sauran bukukuwa daban-daban a matsayin nau'i na nishaɗi.[6] Wani lokaci sukan yi wasu ayyuka kamar kayan aikin kula da zamantakewa, shari'a da 'yan sanda don aiwatar da dokokin ƙasa.
