Vida Amaadi Yeboah (1944-2006) tsohuwar malamar Ghana ce, ƴar siyasa kuma jagorar jama'a.[1] Mataimakin Ministan Ilimi da Al'adu daga 1988 zuwa 1993, Yeboah ta taimaka ta sami Dandalin Mata Masu Ilmin Afirka (FAWE) a 1992. An zabe ta zama 'yar majalisa a 1992, Yeboah ta zama mamba a gwamnatin Jerry Rawlings, ta zama ministar yawon bude ido daga 1997 zuwa 2001.
Rayuwar farko da ilimi
[gyara sashe | gyara masomin]An haifi Vida Yeboah a ranar 27 ga Yuli 1944 a ƙauyen mahaifiyarta a Yankin Gabas, 'yar Kate Oye Ntow Ofosu da Eric Perigrino Nelson. Ta yi karatu a makarantar sakandaren 'yan mata ta Wesley kafin ta sami BA a Faransanci daga Jami'ar Ghana. Daga nan ta yi karatu don MA a Faransanci daga Jami'ar Bordeaux a Faransa, da difloma ta gaba da digiri a ilimi daga Jami'ar Cape Coast.[2]
Ta yi koyarwa tsawon shekaru goma sha huɗu a makarantun 'yan mata a ƙasar Ghana, inda ta zama shugabar makarantar sakandaren' yan mata ta Mfantsiman, kafin a naɗa mataimakiyar Sakataren Ilimi a 1985.[3]
Daga 1988 zuwa 1993 Vida Yeboah ta kasance mataimakiyar Ministan Ilimi da Al'adu.[4] Yeboah ta yi kwaskwarima kan tsarin makarantun gaba da jami'a, inda ta kara yawan adadin 'yan mata.[5] A shekarar 1992 ta kafa dandalin mata masu ilimin ilimi na Afirka tare da wasu ministocin ilimi mata na Afirka guda hudu: Fay Chung a Zimbabwe, Simone Testa a Seychelles, Paulette Moussavon-Missambo a Gabon, da Alice Tiendrebengo a Burkina Faso.[6]

An sake zabar ta a majalisar dokoki ta biyu na jamhuriya ta huɗu bayan ta sami kashi 48% na ƙuri'un a zaɓen 1996.[7] An nada ta a 1997 a matsayin Ministar yawon bude ido inda ta yi aiki har zuwa 2001, matsayin minista a wajen Majalisar.[4]
