Yaaba fim ne na wasan kwaikwayo na ƙasar Burkinabé da ka shirya shi a shekarar 1989 wanda Idrissa Ouedraogo ya rubuta, ya shirya, kuma ya ba da umarni, "ɗaya daga cikin fitattun fina-finai da aka fi sani da francophone yankin Saharar Afirka".[1] Ya lashe lambar yabo ta Sakura Gold a bikin Fim na Tokyo na shekarar 1989.[2] An zaɓi fim ɗin a matsayin shigarwar Burkinabé a Mafi kyawun Fim ɗin Harshen ƙasashen Waje a bada lambar yabo ta 62nd Academy Awards, amma ba a yarda da shi a matsayin wanda aka zaɓa ba. [3]

Fim ɗin ya kasance a batun ɗan gajeren fim ɗin Parlons Grand-mère, wanda aka nuna a lokacin fim ɗin Djibril Diop Mambéty.[4]
