Tun da farko a watan Fabrairu, 1965, Dokta Ibiam ya fara tuntuɓar wakilan yawancin Coci [Kungiyoyin Majami'u) a Najeriya kan buƙatar kafa ƙungiyar Littafi Mai Tsarki na Bayibul ta ƙasa a Najeriya. An yanke shawara gaba ɗaya na waccan taron ne aka kafa kungiyar Bible Society of Nigeria wanda sakamakon haka ya kai ga kafa gami da kaddamar da ita a ranar 8 ga watan Fabrairu 1966. Kafin 1966, Ƙungiyar tana ƙarƙashin kulawar Ƙungiyar Littafi Mai Tsarki na Bayibul ta Biritaniya da Ƙasashen Waje [BFBS] wadda ta yi aiki a Najeriya tun daga 1807. Sai kuma Littafi Mai Tsarki House, Apapa yana hidima a matsayin cibiyar rarraba wa wasu ƙasashe na Yammacin maƙwabtan Afirka.
