Al-ʿĀṣī ibn Suhayl (Arabic), wanda aka fi sani da Abū Jandal (أبو جندل), sahabin annabin Muhammad ne, wanda shine mutum na farko da ya koma Makka bayan Yarjejeniyar Hudaybiyyah . [1] Abu Jandal kuma ɗan'uwan Abdullah ibn Suhayl ne kuma ɗan Suhayl ibn Amr, mai magana da yawun Ƙuraishawa.[2]

Abu Jandal ya kasance cikin farkon wadanda suka amsa addinin Musulunci, yana bin jagorancin ɗan'uwansa Abdullah ibn Suhayl . Saboda matsayin mahaifinsu Suhayl ibn Amr a cikin jagorancin Quraysh, an tsananta wa Abu Jandal da Abdullah kuma sun ɓoye musuluntarsu. Abdullah ya karbi addinin Musulunci kuma ya hau doki tare da jagorancin Ƙuraishawa zuwa yakin Badr inda ya sauya bangare kuma ya shiga cikin sahabban annabi Muhammad kuma ya yi yaƙi da arnan Ƙuraishawa da mahaifinsa washegari. Lokacin da Suhayl ya san cewa ɗansa na biyu Musulmi ne, sai ya buge shi kuma ya kulle shi a gida. Abu Jandal ya kasance a cikin wannan yanayin a karkashin kulawa da tsanani na shekaru da yawa har zuwa lokacin Yarjejeniyar Hudabiyyah .

Da jin cewa annabi Muhammadu yana kusa da Makka kuma yana zuwa, Abu Jandal, wanda aka ɗaure shi da sarƙoƙi ya tsere ya gudu zuwa sansanin Musulmai a Hudaybiyyah . [3] Musulmai sun firgita da ganin yanayinsa.[4] Dangane da yarjejeniyar, duk wani dan Makka da ya yi ƙoƙari ya zama Musulmi kuma ya gudu zuwa Madina ba tare da izinin mai kula da shi ba za a mayar da shi Makka. Bayan ya ga ɗansa kuma ya fahimci cewa yana ƙoƙarin tserewa zuwa wurin annabi Muhammad, Suhayl ya ɗansa kuma ya sanar musu da cewa zai zama mutum na farko da ya dawo wurin Ƙuraishawa. Abu Jandal ya yi kira ga Musulmai cewa za su mayar da shi ga masu bin alloli da yawa lokacin da ya zo musu a matsayin Musulmi. Abin takaici, annabi Muhammad ya mayar musu da Abu Jandal amma ya ƙarfafa shi ya kasance mai ƙarfi.[5]

Bayan wani lokaci, Abu Jandal da sauran mutanen da aka mayar da su Makka sun yi tunanin cewa za su tsere daga Makka kuma su zauna a wani wuri banda Madina. Daga baya, a cikin shekara ta 632, Abdullah ya tafi kuma ya yi shahada a yakin Al-Yamamah . Abu Jandal ya ji labarin shahadar ɗan'uwansa kuma ya sanar da mahaifinsa game da shi. Dukansu Abu Jandal da mahaifinsa, Suhayl, sun yi makoki ga Abdullah, kuma sun yanke shawarar shiga rundunar musulmi.
