Niyyah (Larabci: نِيَّةٌ, fassarar daban-daban niyyah, niyya ar, "Niyya") Musulunci ne ya tsara haka: yin niyya a cikin zuciyar mutum don yin wani aiki na Ibadah don Allah ( Allah ).

Shar'anta/wajabcin niyyah a Musulunci ya tabbata ne a cikin Alqur'ani mai girma cikin Surah ta 33 (Suratu Al-Ahzab) Aya ta 5:

Babu laifi a cikin abinda kuka aikata a bisa kuskure, face abinda kuka aikata da niyyah. Kuma Allah shine mai gafara mafi jinƙai.

Kamar yadda Ibn Rajab ya rawaito hadisi a cikin Arba’una Hadis na Imamu Nawawi: Hadisi na 1, ana hukuncin ayyuka ne da niyya: “ Umar b. al-Khattab ya ruwaito cewa, Annabi ya ce: Lallai tabbas dukkan Ayyuka sai da niyya, kuma mutum yana samun lada ne kawai bisa ga abin da ya yi niyya." [1]

Hakazalika, niyyar mutum na da matuqar muhimmanci a cikin sharuɗɗan layya. Akwai muhawara dangane da wajabcin yin lafazin yayin Niyyah. Mafi yawan malamai sun yarda cewa, duk niyyah ana qudurta ta a zuciya ne, ba sai an furta ta ba a baki. Bugu da ƙari, babu wata shaida da ke nuna cewa Annabin Musulunci Muhammad (S A W) ko wani daga cikin sahabbansa sun taɓa yin niyya da a bayyane kafin salla.

Dole ne musulmi ya kasance ya ƙulla niyya kafin ya fara sallah, da kuma fara aikin Hajji a ( Makka ).
