Segun Okeowo masanin ilimi ne a kasar Najeriya wanda aka fi sani da kasancewa shugaban ƙungiyar daliban Najeriya a sahun gaba wajen jagorantar zanga-zangar Ali Must Go.[1]

An haifi Segun Mikeal Okeowo a ranar 5 ga watan Agusta, 1948 a Shagamu, Jihar Ogun. Ya halarci Kwalejin St Luke da ke Ibadan tsakanin 1961 zuwa 1964 kafin ya wuce Kwalejin Ilimi ta Adeyemi da ke Ondo a shekarar 1971. Ya halarci Jami’ar Legas a tsakanin 1975 zuwa 1978 amma an kore shi daga jami’ar sakamakon rawar da ya taka a matsayinsa na shugaban kungiyar daliban Najeriya da aka dakatar a lokacin a yayin zanga-zangar Ali Must Go a shekara ta 1978. Sai dai ya kammala karatunsa a Jami'ar Ife a shekarar 1980 inda yayi digirin farko a fannin ilimi.[1][2]

Okeowo ya fara gwagwarmaya ne cikin fafutuka tun yana ɗalibin kwalejin ilimi ta Adeyemi da ke jihar Ondo, inda ya kasance shugaban ƙungiyar ɗalibai kafin ya koma Jami’ar Legas inda ya kuma zama shugaban ƙungiyar daliban jami’ar Legas (ULSU). Sannan ya zama shugaban ƙungiyar ɗalibai ta ƙasa (NUNS).[2][3]

Okeowo ya jagoranci dalibai a faɗin Najeriya domin nuna adawa da ƙarin kuɗin tikitin cin abinci na dalibai da gwamnatin mulkin soja ta Olusegun Obasanjo ta yi. Bayan ganawa da tuntuɓar da aka yi da Majalisar Soja ta Tarayya kamar yadda Kwamishinan Ilimi na Tarayya, Kanar Ahmadu Ali ya wakilta a lokacin. Ba tare da cimma matsaya ba, NUNS ta yi kira ga ɗaukacin ɗaliban da su fito zanga-zangar ta ƙasa wadda za a yi wa laƙabi da 'Ali Must Go' bayan Kwamishinan Ilimi na lokacin.[3]

Ba tare da bata lokaci ba aka yi masa kaca-kaca daga Jami’ar Legas sakamakon zanga-zangar ta Ali Must Go mai dimbin tarihi.[3] An kuma haramta kungiyar ta NUNS.[4]

Duk irin rawar da ya taka a lokacin Zanga-zangar "Ali must Go", bayan kammala karatunsa, ya yi rayuwa cikin nutsuwa a matsayin masanin ilimi.[2][4] Ya yi aiki a matsayin shugaban makaranta a makarantar sakandare ta Makun, Ogijo High School, Christ Apostolic Grammar School da Iperu Remo duk a jihar Ogun.[1][2] An naɗa shi a matsayin shugaban hukumar kula da aikin koyarwa ta jihar Ogun inda ya yi ritaya a shekarar 2011. [2]

Okeowo fitaccen jigo ne a kungiyar malamai ta Najeriya (NUT) kuma an naɗa shi kwamishina a hukumar zabe ta jihar Ogun a shekarar 1983.[2][4]

A 1986, an naɗa Okeowo a matsayin ɗaya daga cikin ’yan kwamitin da suka yi nazari kan Rikicin Daliban Jami’ar Ahmadu Bello.[2]

An karrama shi da wasu muƙamai na gargajiya waɗanda suka haɗa da Akogun na Makun, Olootu Omoba na Simawa, Bobajiro na Idena da Obamuwagun na Iperu-Remo.[2]

Okeowo ya mutu ne a ranar Ashirin da takwas 28 ga watan Janairu, 2014, a Asibitin Koyarwa na Jami’ar Olabisi Onabanjo, Sagamu. An binne shi a garin Simawa na jihar Ogun.[2][5]
