Augustus Molade Akiwumi JSC (7 Afrilu 1891–1985) Ya kasance barrister kuma alkali wanda ya zama shugaban majalisar dokokin Ghana na biyu daga shekarun 1958 da 1960 sannan ya zama alkali na farko na Kotun Koli ta Ghana a tsakanin shekarun 1960 zuwa 1961.[1][2]

[gyara sashe | gyara masomin]An haifi Augustus Akiwumi a Legas, Najeriya ɗa ga babban dangin Yarbawa mai 'ya'ya goma sha biyu. Ya zama ɗan ƙasar Ghana, bayan ya ƙaura zuwa Gold Coast yana yaro tare da mahaifinsa, SO Akiwumi.[3] SO Akiwumi shi ne mataimakin shugaban kungiyar agaji ta Red Cross.[4] A cikin shekarar 1910, an aika Augustus Akiwumi ya zauna tare da masu kulawa, dangin Smith na Crosby, Cumbria a Ingila. Ya halarci Kwalejin Sarauniya, Taunton, Somerset.[3] Bakwai daga cikin sauran 'yan uwansa sun halarci makarantar kwana a Ingila.[2] Ya wuce Kwalejin Fitzwilliam, Cambridge, inda ya karanta shari'a.[3] Ya kuma sami horo a matsayin ma'aikacin banki a Bankin Midland, Ludgate Hill, London, kafin ya dawo Ghana.
Sana'a
[gyara sashe | gyara masomin]An kira shi zuwa bar a Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn a cikin shekarar 1921.[3] A shekarar 1964, sa’ad da yake Alkalin Babban Kotu a Ghana, an naɗa shi Sakataren Shari’a a Kungiyar Ma’aikata ta Gabashin Afirka ta Gabas.[5] An zaɓe shi shugaban majalisa a watan Fabrairun 1958 a Masarautar Ghana.[6] Ya zama alkali a Ghana kuma daga baya aka naɗa shi Alkalin Kotun Koli daga watan Yuli 1960 har ya yi ritaya daga benci a watan Afrilu 1961.[4]
