Ma’aikatun tarayyar Najeriya ma’aikatun gwamnati ne da ke da alhakin gudanar da ayyukan gwamnati iri-iri. Kowace ma'aikatar tana karkashin jagorancin Babban Sakatare ne wanda ke ba da rahoto ga Minista a Majalisar Dokokin Tarayya.[1] Wasu ayyuka na gwamnati ana samar da su ta “kwamitocin” ko parastatals (kungiyoyin mallakar gwamnati) waɗanda ƙila su kasance masu zaman kansu ko kuma suna da alaƙa da ma’aikatar.[2]

A wasu lokuta ma’aikatun suna haɗewa, wani lokacin kuma ana raba su. Don haka aka naɗa Halima Tayo Alao ministar muhalli da gidaje a ranar 26 ga watan Yulin, shekarar 2007 a hannun shugaba Umaru Yar’adua.[3] Bayan da aka yi wa majalisar ministoci garambawul, a watan Disamba a shekarar 2008 aka naɗa Nduese Essien Ministan Muhalli sannan Hassan Muhammed Lawal ya zama Ministan Ayyuka da Gidaje.[4] A ranar 6 ga Afrilu 2010, an naɗa Mohammed Daggash Ministan Ayyuka sannan Nduese Essien ya zama Ministan Filaye, Gidaje da Ci gaban Birane.[5] Teburin da ke ƙasa ya lissafa ma'aikatu na yanzu ko na baya.
