Kosoko ( ya rasu a shekara ta 1872)[1] Dan gidan sarautar Ologun Kutere dake Legas wanda ya yi mulki a matsayin sarkin Legas watau Oba na Legas daga 1845 zuwa 1851.[2] Mahaifinsa shi ne Oba Osinlokun da ’yan uwansa Idewu Ojulari (wanda ya kasance Oba daga shekarar, 1829 zuwa 1834/35), Olufunmi, Odunsi, Ladega, Ogunbambi, Akinsanya, Ogunjobi, Akimosa, Ibiyemi, Adebajo, Matimoju, Adeniyi, Isiyemi, Igbalu, Oresanya., da Idewu-Ojulari.[3]

Rikici tsakanin dangin Osinlokun da Adele

Lokacin da Oba Ologun Kutere ya rasu (tsakanin shekara ta, 1800 zuwa 1805), an yi gumurzu tsakanin babban dansa (Osinlokun) da karamin dansa kuma sha lelensa (Adele). Duk da yake ba tsarin sarautar ba bisa jerin haihuwa bane amma ta hanyar masu nadin sarauta da tuntubar jawabin Ifa, Osinlokun da mabiyansa sun yi adawa da sarautar Adele.[5] A shekarar, 1819 Osinlokun yayi wa kaninsa kaninsa Adele juyin mulki a wajajen shekara ta,1819, wanda hakan ya tilastawa Adele gudun hijira zuwa Badagry inda wan ya zama shugaban garin.

Sanadin rikicin Kosoko da Eletu Odibo

Kosoko ya yi wa firayim minista mai iko ( Eletu Odibo ) da mai nadin sarauta laifi ta hanyar auren wata mata da aka sanya wa rana da Cif Eletu Odibo.[6] Eletu Odibo, a matsayinsa na shugaban masu rike da sarautun gargajiya na Akarigbere, shi ne aka ba shi ikon sa ido kan zabo da sanya obas. Matakin girman kai da Kosoko ya dauka zai kawo cikas ga yunkurinsa na neman karagar mulki yayin da Cif Eletu Odibo ya fusata sosai kuma takaddamar da ke tsakanin mutanen biyu ta sauya sarautar Obaship sau da dama tare da kafa hanyar shiga tsakani na Burtaniya a Legas daga baya a shekarar, 1851.[3]

A lokacin da Osinlokun ya mutu a shekara ta,1819, Idewu dan uwan Kosoko ya zama Oba kuma fara mulki daga shekara ta, 1819 har zuwa 1834/5. Amma sai dai mulkin Idewu baiyi kaurin suna ba sanan a gaban Oba na Benin Idewu ya kashe kansa.[7]

Tun lokacin da Kosoko ya zama dan adawan Eletu Odibo, masu nadin sarautan suka kira Adele ya dawo gida daga Badagry kuma ya zama Oba na Lagos a karo na biyu. Mulkin sarki na biyu Adele ya kare a yayin da ya rasu a shekara ta, 1837 sannan kuma Eletu Odibo ya kara hana Kosoko daman zama sarki sannan ya kara nada dandan Adele.[8]

Rikicin tsakanin Eletu Odibo da Kosoko ya karu inda Eletu Odibo ya mika wa Opo Olu, ‘yar uwar Kosoko, zarginta da maita. Masu duban sun gano Opo Olu ba shi da laifi duk da haka Oba Oluwole ya kori Opo Olu daga Legas, inda ya jagoranci Kosoko da mabiyansa zuwa wani bore na makami da bai yi nasara ba da aka fi sani da Ogun Ewe Koko ("leaves of the coco-yam war") wanda ya sa Kosoko da mabiyansa suka gudu. ku Epe.[5]

Daga nan sai Eletu Odibo ya tayar da kiyayyar da ke tsakanin sansanonin biyu ta hanyar tono gawar mahaifiyar Kosoko tare da jefa gawar a cikin tafkin Legas.[3]

Rasuwar Oba Oluwole da hawan Akitoye

An kashe Oba Oluwole a shekara ta, 1841 lokacin da walƙiya ta haifar da fashewar wani abu a wurin Oba. An busa gawar Oluwole da gutsuttsura, ba a iya gane gawar ba sai ’yan kwalliyar sarauta da ke kawata jikinsa. Da an gayyaci Kosoko ya zama Oba amma ba a san inda yake ba. [5] Saboda haka, Akitoye, kawun Kosoko, kanin Osinlokun & Adele, kuma dan Ologun Kutere aka nada a matsayin Oba na Legas.

A yunƙurin sulhu (ya gamu da matsananciyar turjiya daga sarakuna, ba Eletu Odibo ba) tare da ɗan'uwansa, Oba Akitoye ya tuno da Kosoko zuwa Legas. Kosoko ya koma Legas ne a cikin jirgin shahararren dan kasuwar bayi Jose Domingo Martinez. Akitoye ya yi kokarin bai wa Kosoko kyaututtuka kuma ya ba shi mukamin Oloja na Ereko ko kuma mai Ereko. Kosoko yayi sauri ya karfafa matsayinsa kuma ya sami goyon baya a tsakanin shugabannin yaki da yawa da kuma tsakanin al'ummar musulmi. Eletu Odibo ya damu da yadda Kosoko ya kara karfin iko ya tafi Badagry. Shi kuma Akitoye ya tuno da Eletu Odibo daga Badagry, wanda ya sa Kosoko ya bayyana cewa idan Eletu Odibo ya koma Legas, “zai maida kansa sarki”.[9]

Habaici tsatstsama ne ya kaure tsakanin Oba Akitoye da Kosoko yana aikewa da kukansa Legas yana waka yana cewa "Ka fada wa wannan karamin yaro a kotu a can ya yi hankali, domin idan bai yi hankali ba za a hukunta shi". Akitoye ya tura kukan nasa yana rera wakar "Ni kamar filin da aka kora a cikin kasa, wanda ko da yaushe yana da wuya a cire shi amma ya dawwama." Kosoko ya mayar da martani "Ni ne mai tono wanda koyaushe yana fitar da fil".[6]

Tashin hankali ya haifar da tashin hankali mai suna Ogun Olomiro (Yaƙin Ruwa na Gishiri) da ƙungiyar Kosoko ta yi a cikin Yuli shekara ta,1845. Bangaren Kosoko sun killace fadar Oba na tsawon makonni uku. Daga karshe Akitoye ya amince da shan kaye, ya tsere daga kogin zuwa arewa, kuma Oshodi Tapa, kyaftin din yakin Kosoko ya ba shi damar wucewa ta kogin Agboyi lafiya. Oshodi Tapa ya bayyana yadda Akitoye ya tsere zuwa Kosoko inda ya ce Akitoye ya sanya makiyansa cikin rudani. Daga baya Akitoye ya isa Abeokuta inda aka ba shi mafaka. Da yake fahimtar tserewar Akitoye a matsayin barazana, Kosoko ya bukaci kan Akitoye daga Egbas wanda ya ki amincewa da bukatar Kosoko. A cikin watan Maris shekara ta, 1845, Egbas ya ba wa Akitoye da aka kora a yanzu tare da rakiya zuwa Badagry, garin mafaka na gargajiya na Legas inda ya tara mabiyansa tare da gina haɗin gwiwa tare da mishan na turawa da kuma Birtaniya ta hannun Consul John Beecroft .

Mahimmin abu shine, an kama Eletu Odibo a yakin, Kosoko ya rama wa Eletu kashin mahaifiyarsa ta hanyar sanya Eletu Odibo a cikin tanki man fetur, ya rufe shi, ya sanya masa wuta, sannan ya jefar a cikin tafkin Legas.[10]

Kutsawar Birtaniyya a rikicin Legas

Gamayyar bukatu a Legas daga Akitoye da aka kora a yanzu wanda ya haɗa kansa da manufar yaƙi da bautar don samun goyon bayan Birtaniyya, da mas kira zuwa addinin kirista na Anglican da ke Badagry waɗanda ke hulɗa da Akitoye, da Egba da ƴan kasuwa na Turai waɗanda ke son zirga-zirgar kayayyaki cikin 'yanci. An yi nasarar shigar da Burtaniya a Legas. Matsayin Akitoye na adawa da bauta ya bayyana an haife shi ne da son rai idan aka yi la’akari da alakarsa da fitaccen dan kasuwar bayi Domingo Martinez wanda ya goyi bayan harin da Akitoye ya kai Legas a cikin shekara ta, 1846 wanda bai yi nasara ba.[11]

A cikin watan Nuwamba shekara ta, 1851 wata jam'iyyar Burtaniya ta sadu da Oba Kosoko don gabatar da shawarar dangantakar abokantaka ta Burtaniya tare da barin cinikin bayi na Trans Atlantic . Kosoko ya ki amincewa da wannan shawara "saboda fasaha cewa Legas tana ƙarƙashin Oba na Benin kuma kawai Oba zai iya yin hulɗa da kasashen waje game da matsayin Legas".[12][13]

A ranar 4 ga watan Disamba shekara ta, 1851, bayan nasarar Kosoko da fatattakar sojojin Birtaniya, Consul Beecroft ya rubuta wa Oba na Benin cewa "Kosoko, a dalilin sanya wuta a tutar sulhu, ya kaddamar da yaki a Ingila" don haka dole ne a maye gurbinsa da shi. Akitoye. Ya yi barazanar cewa Kosoko na da damar wata daya kafin ya mika wuya, idan har ba haka ba "za'a yake garin Lagos".[14]

A ranar 26 ga watan Disamba shekara ta, 1851, a wani abin da a yanzu ake kira Bombardment na Legas ko Rage Legas, HMS Bloodhound, HMS Teazer, da wasu ayarin jiragen ruwa sun kai hari a fadar Oba. Yanzu an nada Akitoye matsayin Oba na Legas tare da goyon bayan Burtaniya.

A ranar 1 ga watan Janairun shekara ta, 1852 Akitoye ya rattaba hannu kan yerjejeniyar da ke tsakanin Burtaniya da Legas ta soke cinikayyar bayi.[15]

Güdün Hijira Kosoko zuwa Epe

Daga karshe Kosoko ya zauna a Epe da izinin Awujale na Ijebu. Epe dai shi ne wurin da kimanin shekaru 15 da suka gabata wasu da dama daga cikin mabiyansa irin su sarakunan sa Dada Antonio da Osho Akanbi suka fake. A shekara ta,1852, Kosoko ya gina wani sansani mai zaman kansa tare da mayaƙa kimanin 400 (ciki har da Oshodi Tapa ) don tayar da adawarsa ga Akitoye.[16]

A shekarar, 1853 Kosoko ta kai hare-hare biyu a Legas; daya a ranar 5 ga watan Agustan 1853 da ranar 11 ga watan Agustan shekara ta, 1853 wanda ya zo kusa da fadar Oba cikin hadari amma an tsaida harin a daidai lokacin da wata sojojin ruwa na Burtaniya suka bude wuta a karkashin umurnin kwamanda Phillips na HMS Polyphemus.[17]

Daga karshe Kosoko ya rattaba hannu kan yarjejeniyar Epe a ranar 28 ga watan Satumba shekara ta, 1854 tare da Consul Benjamin Campbell, inda ya amince da kada ya yi wani da'awa ga Legas ko kuma ya kawo barazana ga kasuwanci a Legas. Yarjejeniyar ta kasance nasara ta dabara ga Kosoko wanda ya sa Birtaniya ta amince da jiharsa a Epe. A madubin fasaha, sarautar Legas ta kasance ba ta tabuwa tare da kafuwar zuri'ar Akitoye da Dosunmu a masarautar.[15][18]

Komawa Lagos

A shekara ta, 1860, Kosoko ya jawo Oba na Benin ya aika da saƙo zuwa Dosunmu yana matsa masa ya bar Kosoko ya koma Legas. Dosunmu, wanda a yanzu yake karkashin ikon Birtaniyya, ya ki amincewa da wannan bukata kuma ya lura cewa abubuwa ba su kasance kamar yadda yake a da ba lokacin da Legas ta kasance karkashin Sarkin Benin, wanda duk shekara ake biyan haraji.[19]

Bayan Birtaniya ta mamaye Legas ta hanyar yarjejeniyar a shekara ta, 1861, an ba Kosoko damar komawa Legas da lakabin Oloja na Ereko, yana karbar fensho na £ 400 a kowace shekara. Oshodi Tapa, ya zauna a Epetedo.[20]

Mutuwa da abunda ya bari

Kosoko ya rasu a shekarar, 1872 kuma an binne shi a Iga Ereko da ke Legas.[21] Rikicin Kosoko-Akitoye/Dosunmu ya mamaye fagen tattalin arziki. Magoya bayan Oba Dosunmu ba su cika jin dadin kasancewar Birtaniya a Legas ba, yayin da abokan Kosoko suka yi amfani da dangantakar. Sansanin Kosoko ya ƙunshi maza irin su Oshodi Tapa da Taiwo Olowo, waɗanda cikin ƙwazo suka shiga kasuwanci da kamfanonin Turai. Shugaban bangaren tattalin arzikin Dosunmu shi ne Cif Apena Ajasa, wanda ya yi ta karo da Taiwo Olowo akai-akai. Lokacin da Kosoko ya mutu, gwamnatin mulkin mallaka ta kiyasta cewa bangaren tattalin arzikinsa ne ya fi karfi saboda kasancewar mabiyansa akalla, 20,000.[22]

Wasu fitattun zuriyarsa guda biyu su ne Omoba Jide Kosoko, fitaccen jarumin fina-finan Nollywood da Adekunle Gold, mai fasahar Afro-Pop na Najeriya.[23][24]
