An zabi Salisu Ibrahim Musa Matori a matsayin Sanata mai wakiltar mazabar Bauchi ta Kudu ta jihar Bauchi, Najeriya a farkon Jamhuriya ta Hudu ta Najeriya, yana kan takarar jam'iyyar PDP. Ya hau mulki a ranar 29 ga watan Mayu shekara ta 1999.[1]
Bayan ya hau kujerarsa a majalisar dattijai a watan Yunin shekara ta 1999, an nada Matori zuwa kwamitocin kan Sufuri (shugaban), Harkokin Mata, Aikin Noma, Kudi da Kasaftawa, Ilimi da yawon bude ido da al'adu.[2] A watan Agusta na shekara ta 2000, an saka sunan shi a cikin wani rahoto da kwamitin da Sanata Idris Kuta ke jagoranta ya fitar wanda ya binciki badakalar kudi a kwangilolin majalisar dattawa. An zargi Sanata Matori da yin sama da fadi da kudaden inshora na motocin majalisar dokoki, amma kuma daga baya aka wanke shi daga dukkan kurakurai bayan binciken da kwamitin ya yi. Kafin zaben shekara ta 2003 ya zama shugaban kungiyar yakin neman zaben Abubakar Rimi. A watan fabrairun shekara ta 2003 ya sauya sheka zuwa All Nigeria People's Party (ANPP).
A shekara ta 2010 Matori ya kasance memba a kwamitin tsare-tsare da dabaru da shugabannin Arewa suka kafa domin tabbatar da cewa an zabi dan arewa a zaben shugaban kasa na shekara ta 2011 maimakon shugaba mai ci yanzu Goodluck Jonathan, wanda ya fito daga kudancin najeriya
