Jihadin Islama a Masar (EIJ), [1] [2] asalin sunansa al-Jihad, [3] [4] ƙungiya ce ta 'ƴan ta'adda a Masar bisa tushen wuce gona da kuma iri na fassarar Islama. Tana kuma aiki tun a ƙarshen shekarun 1970. Tana ƙarƙashin takunkumin duniya da Majalisar Dinkin Duniya a matsayin ƙungiyar da ke da alaƙa da al-Qaeda. [5] Haka nan gwamnatoci da yawa a duniya sun dakatar da shi, gami da na Tarayyar Rasha . [6]

Tun 1991 ta ke jagorancin Ayman al-Zawahiri, wanda yanzu shi ne shugaban kungiyar al-Qaeda. A cewar Zawahiri, EIJ "ya kuma banbanta da kungiyar Takfir wal Hijra saboda ba ma daukar mutane kafirai saboda zunubansu. Kuma mun sha bamban da kungiyar ‘Yan'uwa Musulmi saboda wani lokacin ba sa adawa da gwamnati”. [7]

A watan Yunin 2001, Al Qaeda da Jihadin Islama na Masar, wadanda suke da alaƙa da juna tsawon shekaru, suka hade cikin 'Qaeda al-Jihad'.
