Kaymu kasuwa ce ta kan layi da aka kafa a cikin 2013, tana samar da samfuran C2C da B2C na gida a Afirka, Turai da Asiya.[1] Dandalin yana ba masu siye da masu siyarwa damar saduwa don yin yarjejeniya akan sabbin kayan kwalliya da aka yi amfani da su, wayoyin hannu, kayan ado, da kayan gida.[2]
Tarihi
[gyara sashe | gyara masomin]An fara kaddamar da Kaymu a Najeriya da Pakistan a watan Janairun 2013 kuma a cikin watanni 27 ya bude aiki a wasu kasashe 32.[3] Kaymu ya kwafi samfurin eBay; ba ya bayar da tallace-tallacen samfur na ɓangare na farko, kuma yana da gidajen yanar gizo daban-daban ga kowace ƙasashen da take aiki a ciki. Babban abokin hamayyar Kaymu shine OLX mallakar Naspers wanda ke aiki a cikin ƙasashe sama da 100 kuma suna gudanar da ƙirar C2C.[4]
A watan Janairun 2013, Kaymu ya sami tallafin iri da ba a bayyana ba daga Intanet na Roket kuma ya fara aiki a Najeriya da Pakistan.[5] Kaymu ya girma daga ma'aikaci na 10 zuwa 60 a cikin watanni tara kuma ya buɗe ayyuka a Ghana da Maroko a cikin Oktoba 2013,[6][7] kafin ya fadada zuwa wasu ƙasashe masu tasowa a cikin shekara ta biyu na aiki.[8]
Kamar yadda a watan Yuni 2015, ayyukan Kaymu sun girma har zuwa Mozambique, Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar,[9] Slovenia, Sri Lanka, Bulgaria, Uzbekistan, da Philippines.[10][11] Kaymu yana aiki a kasashe 35, 17 daga cikinsu suna Afirka, da sauran a Turai da Asiya.[12]

A cikin 2016, Kaymu ya zama Jumia a Afirka.

[gyara sashe | gyara masomin]Kaymu yana samun goyon bayan wani ɗan ƙasar Nepal Rajib Kumar Mehta, ƙarƙashin inuwar ƙungiyar Jumia Group.[13][14] Shugaban Kamfanin Intanet na Roket Oliver Samwer ya bayyana kamfaninsa a matsayin dandalin da ke gina kamfanonin intanet maimakon a matsayin masu saka hannun jari, masu kirkire-kirkire ko masu shigar da kaya kamar yadda wasu ke ganin su.[15] Roket Internet yana kula da duk harkokin kasuwancinsa a Afirka ta hanyar rukunin Intanet na Afirka wanda ya raba hannun jari tsakanin Roket Internet, MTN da Millicom.[16][17]
