Akure birni ne, da ke a jihar Ondo, a ƙasar Nijeriya,[1] kuma itace birni mafi girma kuma babban birnin jihar Ondo. Bisa ga ƙidayar jama'a a shekarar 2006.[2] akwai jimilar mutane 484,798 (dubu dari huɗu da tamanin da huɗu da dari bakwai da casa'in da takwas). An gina birnin Akure a karni na sha biyu.

Akwai kuma Shoprite Akure mall.

A asbitocin birnin Akure akwai kwararrun ma'akatan kiwaon lafiya wanda aka horar sosai don kare lafiya al'umman garin. Birnin na dauke da jami'oi wanda suka hada da; Federal University of Technology Akure, Federal College of Agriculture, School of Nursing and Midwifery, and School of Health Technology. Har wayau tana da sanannun makarantun sakandare da suka hada da; St. Thomas Aquinas College, Oyemekun Grammar School, St. Louis Grammar School, and Fiwasaye Girls' Grammar School. Har wayau birnin na dauke da makarantun gwamatin tarayya wanda suka hada da Girls' College da St. Peter's Unity Secondary School da dai sauransu.

A karkashin masarautar Akure na yanzu akwai kananan masarautu guda biyu wanda suke da nasu sarakunan. Birnin ta kasancewa mahaifa ga wasu manyan mutanen Najeriya kamar Chief Olu Falae, Dr Akinola Aguda da sauran sanannun mutane a fannin boko, soji, shari'a da sauran fannukan gwamnati. Philip Emeagwali, wanda ya lashe gasan Gordon Bell Prize,[8] mahaifiyar Sunny Adé, Ralph Alabi (tsohon chairman na kamfanin Guniness Nigerian Ltd), da kuma Kole Omotosho duka yan asalin Akure ne.

A fannin wasanni, Akure da katafaren filin wasan kwallon kafa da ke iya daukan mutum kimanin 15,000. Akwai wani sabon filin da ake ginawa daga kudanci birnin.

Akure birni ne dake dauke da mutane mabiya addinai iri-iri; kamar kiristoci, musulmai da kuma masu bin addinin gargaji ko kuma bautan gumaka. Akwai cocuka da dama a garin, akwai babban masallaci (Central Mosque) bisa hanyar Oba Adesida Road wanda yana daya daga cikin kayatattun wurare a garin. Abun jinjinawa shine mutanen Akure na zama lafiya da junansu.

Akure tana da dan majalisa dake wakiltan ta a majlisar dokoki watau Hon. Simeon Toluwani Borokini (Akure South I), Hon. (Dr.) Abiodun Faleye (Akure North) da kuma Hon. Olajide David Sunday (Akure South II).
