Jeanne Isabelle Marguerite Bassong (9 ga Fabrairu 1937 - 9 Nuwamba 2006) 'yar Kamaru ce mai ilimin harsuna, jami'ar diflomasiyya kuma jakadiyar da ta wakilci ƙasarta a ƙasashen Benelux na tsawon shekaru 17.

An haife ta a matsayin Jeanne Isabelle Marguerite Akoumba Monneyang a Ebolowa a yankin Kudancin Kamaru; mahaifinta ma'aikacin gwamnati ne mahaifiyarta kuma uwar gida. Ta yi karatun sakandare a birnin Douala kafin ta je Cahors a Faransa inda ta sami digiri na uku a fannin gwaji. Ta ci gaba da karatu a Sorbonne da ke birnin Paris inda ta sami digiri na farko da difloma na babban karatu a fannin ilimin harshe. Daga baya ta tafi Amurka inda ta yi karatu a Jami'ar Colorado Denver, inda ta kammala karatun digiri a matsayin Jagoran Kimiyya a Harshe.[1]

An naɗa ta Daraktar Sabis na Harsuna a Majalisar Dokokin Kamaru bayan ta koma Kamaru a shekarar 1964. A cikin watan Fabrairu 1984 an naɗa ta Sakatariyar Harkokin Kiwon Lafiyar Jama'a. Ta shiga aikin diflomasiyya a karshen shekarun 1980, inda ta zama jakadiyar Kamaru a Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg da kuma Tarayyar Turai tsakanin shekarun 1989 zuwa 2006. A matsayinta na ɗaya daga cikin jakadu mafi daɗewa a Brussels, ta yi aiki a matsayin shugabar kwamitin jakadun ƙasashen Afirka, Caribbean da Pacific. Ta wakilci ƙasarta a wasu muhimman shawarwari: Yarjejeniyar Lomé ta Huɗu ta 1990, Yarjejeniyar 1995 da aka sake gyara da Yarjejeniyar Cotonou na shekarar 2000, da kuma zama Mashawarciyar Kamaru a Kotun Duniya ta Hague a lokacin dogon sauraren karar rigimar da ake yi da Najeriya game da ikon yankin Bakassi.[2]

Ta kasance mamba a jam'iyyar Kamaru People's Democratic Movement, wacce ta kasance mataimakiyar sakataren jam'iyyar kan harkokin yaɗa labarai, yaɗa labarai, da farfaganda. Ta mutu a Brussels, ta bar miji da yara uku.[1][3] An yi jana'izar ta biyu a hukumance, a Brussels da kuma a Yaoundé babban birnin Kamaru, inda aka binne ta.[1][3]
